Trump obliterates competition in CPAC poll, but look which 2024 'frontrunner' is in 10th

Whom do conservatives prefer to be their presidential candidate in 2024?

The clear answer to that question is Donald Trump, who devastated the would-be competition in a straw poll Saturday by the Conservative Political Action Conference, or CPAC.

The former president collected a whopping 69 percent of the vote at CPAC's conference in Dallas, followed by Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis at 24 percent.

Pence sealed his fate. What a traitor.

"They want Pence, Haley, or one of their RINO favorites to lead the party and the nation."

Those losers don't want to lead anything.

Pence finished an abysmal 10th with 0.2 percent of straw poll votes.

Good luck pushing Pence, Fox.

HALEY is NOT NBC.

Her parents are from India and neither was an American citizen when she was born.

Any bets on seeing Pence pushers on this site in about 9 months or so?

I know that is the common belief here, but it’s not, and never has been, the law.

NBC simply means “US citizen at the time of birth” without more.

Yes, there are arguments — and perhaps wise ones — that the definition should be different. But those arguments did not prevail.

Designated losers in a general election, if by some unlikely chain of coincidences, they manage to even get nominated.

Many, many alternate universes removed from out present reality.

I never trusted Pence from day one. He looked like another Reagan’s Bush. And he is.

It’s very possible that this is one reason God allowed this 2020 election debacle. Pence in 2024 would have been a disaster the way Bush was in 1988.

Pence would have been the 2024 frontrunner and would have trashed Trump’s efforts to make America great again (the way Biden/Obama are now, except maybe not as accelerated). And as Bush did in 1992, Pence would have greased the skids for the Left to come into the White house in 2028 until there was nothing left of a recognizable America.

Instead, Trump will come back in 2024, fix the havoc Biden/Obama have wreaked, and do much to restore America’s Free Constitutional Republic.

So 2028 looms very large. Trump’s VP will almost certainly be the frontrunner and it better be the right guy (NOT girl). The right guy will sustain Trump’s efforts AND advance them, hopefully facilitating the taking down of the $3 trillion unconstitutional portion of the feds AKA “The Deep State” AKA “The Swamp”. Doing that is essential if America is to recover her Free Constitutional Republic.

Natural born citizen still means exactly what it meant when the founders put it in the Constitution to prevent foreigners from the office.

Born here of citizen parents.

All other definitions allow for foreigners to be President, the exact opposite of the purpose of the clause.

The “consultants” have been whispering in Pence’s ear, telling him he could be President.

He was stupid enough to believe them.

It’s the ‘fighting talent’ per Mark Davis. Only DeSantis, Cotton, and perhaps Pompeo have it(besides Trump).

I’ve been to CPAC several times, and enjoyed it. But, the track record of CPAC Presidential polls is not a good one. Here’s some people who won it in the past, but didn’t get the nomination:
Jack Kemp
Ronald Reagan (76)
Pat Buchanan
Phil Grahm
Steve Forbes
Gary Bauer
George Allen
Rudi Giuliani
Ron Paul
Rand Paul
Ted Cruz

A lot of libertarian conservatives attend CPAC, so it is not vert representative of the wider conservative/republican population

But I think the results in Arizona show pretty much how the wider conservative/Republican population feel.

It would be interesting to see the odds on various pairings
for next election on both sides of the aisle. I’m also
beginning to think that an age limit may should become a
part of the criteria. I hope I’m still here to see it unfold.

There’s no question in my mind that Trump will win in 2024. I have many reasons for this and more than just Trump’s overwhelming popularity and Patriot vigilance at the 2024 election against massive fraud. More reasons than just those things.

I do agree that is what it should mean, but that is not the law.

And never had been.

Correct!
CPAC is filled with Activists for particular candidates.
Ron Paul and Pat Bucannan are two good examples.
Neither were going to win dog catcher.
