n the grips of monomania, psychotic people perseverate on their object of interest. They talk about their enthusiasm incessantly and believe, wrongly, that everyone else is similarly inclined. America’s establishment, left and right, and the media, are obsessed with Donald J. Trump. Trump’s tweets, his pretend press releases, his real ones, doesn’t matter. He occupies every neuron and inflames them. With each sweaty proclamation, the monomaniacs sound increasingly unhinged. Dick Cheney called Donald Trump the greatest threat to humanity and America and all that is good and decent. And also, he’s proud of his daughter because she staked her whole life and career on stopping a politician who is not currently in office and isn’t on the ballot. Vote for the obsessive! She cares!
At risk of writing into the void, it is not about Donald Trump.

GENETICS
They decided to punish us for ending the Bush Dynasty.
libstripper...well said.
I recall about 20 years ago, when he was on a different station, I heard him describe Dick Cheney as "Pure Evil", then went back to the upcoming game or whatever. I'm not going to call him up and apologize for what I said about him at the time, but now, looking back, I'm wondering how it is that he had it figured out and I didn't.
Well, I’ll say it IS about trump and really about US.
They’re not really going after Trump, there really coming after us.
Already they are saying Kari Lake "squeaked through" because they're referring to the percentages when the AP declared for her, which had her at about 1.8 points ahead. Right now with 98% counted, she is 4.5 points ahead -- not close at all.
Me, as well.
Although I did enjoy Rumsfeld’s press conferences.
For the Trump haters, its’ not really about Trump, it’s about the threat he poses to their 30 year bipartisan plan to turn the USA into North Mexico.
Until Trump, we had only been allowed to vote for open borders/amnesty candidates, intentionally.
The main purpose of the GOP since the Bush League took over in 1989 has been to block the citizens from stopping the theft of their country.
Some people are just wired to be excessive about X. You can pick whatever X is. It could be drinking, some criminal activity, or sex. In Cheney’s case it’s political. Suppose Trump had never gone into politics. I’d bet Cheney would have found someone else and targeted him instead. The vitriol would sound exactly the same, only the names would change.
I ignore extreme people. Unless I’m currently near them, in which case I increase my situational awareness.
Well said
“Look at the job creation, though, cry Biden supporters. Yes, look at them. The only reason jobs have to come back is because jobs were killed in the first place. But gas prices are falling! Yes, they’re only nearly $2 more than when Joe Biden came into office, lucky us.”
I actually saw a post on Twitter the other day making both of these arguments in support of Biden.
DIck Cheney looked MEAN, EVIL and MENACING in that ad. He looked like he would KILL you if you didn’t vote for his EVIL DAUGHTER !
I couldn’t hardly believe the video of DC when I saw it the other day. He’s possessed by demons. The undue nastiness and hatred toward Trump...he looks as though he would like to kill him. He and his daughter, for whatever their personal reasons, have gone to the dark side. They were probably there all along.
Exactly my thoughts. He’s insane with hatred. You don’t lie and exaggerate to the detriment of your country...not even for your own daughter.
There is another part to this equation that Glenn Greenwald, of all people, explains:

Here’s last night’s Fox segment I did on the repulsive but revealing embrace by liberals of both Dick and Liz Cheney (beyond the above examples, Pelosi heralded Liz as a “leader of great courage, patriotism and integrity”), despite crimes far worse than what they accuse Trump of:
And here’s the part of the discussion on *why* the Cheneys — with the Bushes — hate Trump so much. It’s not because they’re noble patriots who cherish the rule of law
It’s because Trump ran - and won - denouncing their neoconservative worldview, now the Dem worldview:

It was the same look if hatred he gave Obama at his inauguration. You could almost hear the “Hisssss!”
Was it really hatred?
Like too many in the GOP they may have always been on the dark side. Trump broke them along with many on the left. Good to see-eyebrow raising.
