And, this is exactly what he needed and continue to need. Our nation cannot survive politics as usual for much longer. We are getting close to being the Romans just before the Visigoths came over the 7th hill - and much of the populace is oblivious.

A distraction from getting things done. There are enough independent voters that will never vote for Trump but will vote for DeSantis. It has nothing to do with ideology and everything to do with dislike of Trump his personality.
