Health care workers who were fired for not getting a COVID shot have won a major victory. The Liberty Counsel has announced a "historic" $10.3 million settlement in the nation's first-of-its-kind classwide lawsuit.
The class action settlement against NorthShore University HealthSystem is on behalf of more than 500 current and former health care workers who were unlawfully discriminated against and denied religious exemptions from the COVID shot mandate, according to the non-profit religious rights law firm.

I hope Houston Methodist is next. I really abhor the timing of their decision process and their arrogant leadership
‘Every one of you is replaceable’ and their religious hypocrisy.

Great news. Hopefully this is a sign the dam is breaking and we will no be threatened and coerced to being subjected to a shot that we do not want. I say, give a double dose to those who crave it.

Good news, but I wonder how much of that settlement goes to the lawyers.

Good news, but I wonder how much of that settlement goes to the lawyers.I would suspect much of it.

The class members are getting their jobs back and significant amounts of money.
It’s not a situation where class members get some vouchers and the lawyers get almost all the money.
I’ve met and heard Mat Staver speak. He is the real deal.
Liberty Counsel is a Christian legal advocacy law firm supported mostly by donations. Liberty Counsel has a great record in winning lawsuits, which probably a big reason the hospital settled.

Only 30% goes to the lawyers, plus expenses, but i tell you 30% of something is a hell of a lot better than a hundred percent of nothing i think the lawyets deserve it.

Execs who forced these illegal mandates should be held personally liable. Prison would be better, but poverty is okay too.

Tis but a small drop of water on a thirsty desert. We need it to rain hard and long until those behind the mandates are made an example of...both those in the government and those in big pharma that bribed them.

I suspect this law process and "settlement" will become the model for many, many more class action lawsuits all across the "fruited plain."
The medical industrial complex -- reference to Eisenhower's warning of many things in his farewell address -- had become dictatorial, massively corrupt and now it members will face the extent of their overreach. One of hundreds of organizations that threatened, mandated and terminated employees has buckled. Many more are in the pipeline.

If the lawyers are working pro bono, probably around 30-35% but that means the people didn’t have to put up the money and take the chance of losing.
Wait until the lawsuits start for vaccine injuries. It’s going to be a good time to be a lawyer.

I work in healthcare, marked for my religion. This is a win even if zero dollars get paid. These heroes have been ridiculed, fired, deprived of their job to feed their families. There are some thing much more valuable than money such as faith and freedom.

20,600 each? Not nearly enough. It should be at least 10 times that amount, and no executive should have personal immunity from their illegal decisions.
