I don’t even blame Bush. The problem with Pence is that he is an Evangelical snake in the grass, chosen by the GOP because Trump had a lot of personal problems that the Evangelicals didn’t like (divorces, etc.) and the GOP needed Evangelical votes.
A lot of Evangelicals confuse being a Christian with being a supporter of the US government, whatever it is at the moment.
I think Pence honestly believes that he is perfect, Trump is a total sinner, and then he himself, Pence, is the chosen one.
He’s very stuffy and full of himself. I’m Catholic, btw, but it doesn’t even seem to me that Franklin Graham (an Evangelical whom I follow and generally like, because he’s an orthodox Christian, a good preacher like his Dad, and a believer in something other than himself) likes Pence very much.
And I think a lot of Evangelicals might have changed their minds after the last couple of years, so the GOP shouldn’t rely on Pence to attract them.
But even Franklin Graham was encouraging his followers to get vaxed because Jesus would want you to.
A lot of these evangelicals are so much holier than we are you know. Very judgemental and usually turn out to be feminized like Pence or guilty of worse than they accuse Trump of. Like Jerry Falwell Jr.
Obviously I have a great lack of trust in Evangelicals.
Like the other traitor RINOmney, Pence never looks comfortable in his own skin.
Having studied the life of King David, I find that Trump is a pussycat in comparison.
