I am just saying that without knowing more I think everyone II s equally suspect. Just like that fire station where everybody quit, after the fact it was determined it was enough for to get rid of the group who had family ties and corruption keeping them there. The headlines are all great, but I don’t think it will save the jobs, and time will tell whether they are rightfully gone or not.
The Left is much better at reframing news stories than we are.
Well, sure, you are correct. I think the media prefers to stir up trouble.
5 people to get coverage doesn’t even consider time off for mandatory training and legal updates, court hearings, range days, and probably several weeks vacation per employee. You also better pray no one gets injured and is off for months.
I did read it and you said She is just as white as she is black as you gave the Town’s demographics
No She isn’t.
propaganda article that completely omits how totally unfit this manager was and should never have been hired in the first place if even a smidgen of a background check had been made: she was fired for incompetence from her last two municipal jobs and promptly filed racist and gender discrimination lawsuits against both employers ...
“she appears to have been qualified”
she was fired from her last two jobs and promptly filed gender and race discrimination lawsuits which are still in litigation against her last two municipal employers ... you would have had to be completely insane, stupid and/or ignorant to hire this woman ...
Small towns often have roles such as Mayor and City Councilmen being part-time positions. A city manager is a full time employee of the city who normally does the work approved by the Mayor and City Council.
California, for now, unfortunately. I don’t know if any police/fire departments in CA are NOT unionized, but I believe the vast majority ARE. But the same mentality applies to all levels of government employees. I am 70, and remember the time when working “for the government” meant mediocre pay but great job security. Thanks to organizations like AFSCME (American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees), they figured out how to keep all the job security while greatly increasing the pay and benefits. Maybe not all, but some really have figured out how to make more after they retire than they made when they were working.
...and local residents are now reporting that this is all racial that the folks that quit don’t want to work for a black person. Black, woman, and not from around there. Bet that was too much for the good ol’ boys. And no one will miss them...
My Dad retired from GE in the 1970's as a Computer Programmer and was salaried non-exempt most of that time. I'll always remember when I was little, whenever a union went on strike, my Dad having to go into work to patrol the perimeters of the roof of the manufacturing units all night long with walkie-talkies to guard against sabotage and vandalism from the striking socialist goons.
In my forty year telecommunications career I was mostly salaried non-exempt. The best of both worlds, hired with a yearly salary but with all the overtime I wanted or needed.
Feel better now?
