Looks like the FR post nazis finally took down one of my Sunbrays for solicitation of my book. Guess unless you are CNN you cannot expect to be tolerated by the Facebook/Twitter patrol.

You know the real reason is my constant posting Bible scripture on their precious atheist forum.

All’s fair in love and war. No one should trust their enemy in a war.

Welcome back Fish. You have been missed. Hope all is well in Lewes. Bet the roads are clogged with folks from Pennsylvania. I know when I was there we couldn’t wait for them to go back home.

Bret Baier, sitting in the Chris Wallace ejection seat, took time today to pile on the Anti-Trump/Never-Trump bandwagon. ‘Fair and balanced’ has gone the way of the buggy whip....or Chris Wallace.

This saga is far from over. We are getting sucked into this war led by Biden, Blinken, Nuland, Milley, Austin, and the RINO neocons in Congress.

Lawmakers want US military advisers sent to Ukraine--US military advisers in Ukraine would help coordinate logistics, not fight on front lines

Kyiv, Ukraine--The Biden administration should allow the Pentagon to deploy U.S. military advisers to Ukraine to help coordinate the billions of dollars of arms flowing into the country and to keep better tabs on the weapons, members of a bipartisan congressional delegation visiting Kyiv said Saturday.

"I think we should do more," Rep. Michael Waltz, R-Fla., the first Green Beret elected to Congress, told Fox News after meeting Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

"That said," Waltz continued, "it should come with appropriate safeguards, with appropriate oversight and the only way we can get that oversight is to actually have some advisors in Ukraine helping their military with the planning and logistics."

It reminds me how we got started in Vietnam, only this time we will be going up against Russia directly, not some surrogate. All we need is a pretext like the Gulf of Tonkin and escalation is a possibility. We are playing with fire.

The domestic political pressure in the West will racket up as energy and food costs increase causing more pain. Public support for the war is already eroding in Europe. Our "fearless leaders" are confronted with losing the war in Ukraine and don't know how to end it. Zelensky is now driving the train requesting more money and arms with no end in sight. Driving Russia out of Eastern Ukraine and Crimea is a pipe-dream. What constitutes victory?

One thing will never change. Russia shares a 1,500 mile border with Ukraine, not to mention hundreds of years of shared history, culture, and language.

"The Biden administration should "not just help Ukraine play for a time, but help them go for a win," Waltz said. "At a minimum, what we talked about today was getting them back to that 2014 line." This is f'ing insane.

Notice who is standing next to Waltz's right? Elissa Blair Slotkin (born July 10, 1976) is an American politician [Democrat] serving as the U.S. representative from Michigan's 8th congressional district since 2019. A member of the Democratic Party, she previously served as a Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) analyst and Department of Defense official. She needs to be defeated in a district that has become more Republican, now R+4. It should be a pickup. The delegation included Representative Adam Smith, chair of the House Armed Services Committee.

It’s not our war. Russia invaded. We aren’t fighting them, the Ukes are.

The ONLY thing like Vietnam today is we’re the ones supplying the missiles and guns to let others defend themselves and fight... Just like the Soviets did with North Vietnam against US.

Case closed.

No, Biden has said explicitly that we are at war with Russia. We have declared economic war on Russia using sanctions to destroy their economy and currency. Austin said expressly that our objective is to weaken Russia and degrade its military. We are fighting a proxy war. And we have reentered the Cold War.

My recollections about how we got involved in Vietnam differ from yours. It started with sending weapons and advisors under JFK/LBJ. I went to college with someone who had returned from Vietnam after serving as an adviser. When I entered the USN in 1965, Vietnam was starting to heat up. My first assignment was to the USS Iwo Jima (LPH-2). We had a ten month WESTPAC deployment, 8 months off the coast of Vietnam with a battalion of Marines aboard. We supported landings in I Corps.

When I left the Iwo, I spent a year in country 1967-68 and witnessed a huge build-up of our presence along with the Tet Offensive in February 1968. I disagree with your observation about the ONLY thing like Vietnam today is that we are giving the Ukrainians the weapons to fight similar to the Soviets in Vietnam.

The Soviets had advisers in North Vietnam and they were actually manning some of the anti-aircraft batteries as well as flying some of the NV aircraft. Congress is now talking about sending in advisors. We are teaching Ukrainian pilots to fly US aircraft. Biden has already set up his version of lend-lease for the Ukrainians essentially providing US arms free to Ukraine. We have already sunk close to $70 billion into the Ukraine effort dwarfing Europe’s contributions. And this is just the beginning. We are in it to win it says Cong Waltz. And that includes taking back Crimea.

Far from being case closed, we are only at the early stages of our involvement. The more dire the conditions become in Ukraine, the more we raise the ante. It is a slippery slope from a proxy war to our own direct participation in the war. It wouldn’t surprise me at all to learn that we already have a presence on the ground. We have already admitted that we are providing the Ukrainians with real time intelligence. The war has been going on for just 5 months. It is a little premature to crow about how successful we have been.

Direct confrontation with the Russians will come from a miscalculation, not from a planned operation. Then it is only a matter of how far and fast it will escalate. Our current leadership doesn’t instill confidence, witness Afghanistan.

Gee now, who woud those advisors be? Can you say CIA? The ones who have been there forever and likely started it all to begin with? Yeah brilliant idea if you work for the cabal.

As we both know all this accomplishes many tentacles of an ongoing op. Further weakens the dollar bumps up our deficit, rest of the world hates us even more. Puts us at odds with Russia and China, prelude to WWIII,lots of money from arms sales to arms vendors that the US dollar has to buy. When it's over all kinds of reconstruction money for the rebuilding to contractors. Sound familiar? Its the same op used in multiple countries with Libya the model.

Agree. We have not thought our involvement in Ukraine through. Most of the world is ignoring the sanctions. The dollar is now under attack as the world’s reserve currency. We have attached ourselves to the corrupt Ukrainian government, which is demanding more and more aid. How much of it is being siphoned off by the oligarchs?

We fought a proxy war against the Soviets in Afghanistan. They lost and we took their place after 9/11. We suffered a similar fate after investing trillions of dollars and thousands of lives. The only winners were the arms merchants and various NGOs. Now Afghanistan is back as an incubator of terrorism. And the Chinese are the beneficiaries of Afghanistan’s mineral wealth.

We are now in a new Cold War and a global political realignment. Where this leads us to nobody knows. Will China seize the moment to take over Taiwan? Ukraine is a distraction, not the hill to die on.

Biden says his butts been wiped.

He is a demented idiot.

We are not at war with Russia, the Russians are at war with Ukraine.

The history of US involvement in Vietnam is not repeating itself.

The Russians could stop it all tomorrow.

They can’t only because Putin’s salty ego won’t let them.

Everything they are doing is their own choice—not ours.

They could stop the war, claim the Donbas, and call it victory, even now.

Their attack against Odessa’s harbor facilities proves their word cannot be trusted.
