Russia warned Finland for decades not to join NATO. Then Finland did and what did Russia do? Withdraw Russian troops from their border.
This has never been about NATO. Putin and his surrogates have said quite clearly that Ukraine is an illegitimate nation and they intend to erase it. We should believe them when they say that.
