If you haven't gotten your Covid booster shot yet, public health experts say BA.5 is a prime reason to get it — and soon.
The Covid subvariant appears to be the virus's most transmissible strain thus far, powering a nationwide surge in new cases that hasn't slowed since March. That's a problem, even as hospitalizations and deaths remain relatively low: The longer Covid circulates, the more likely it is to mutate into a form that's both transmissible and severe.

Two Moderna jabs were more than enough for me.
Had the last one in February 2021.
Since then, I have been knowingly “exposed” four times since early November ‘21.
Never isolated, never masked, never tested, never even a sniffle.
It’s OVER, people.
And Big Pharma is unhappy that their gravy train is ending.

Why would you want to stop Covid 19 omicron BA.5 in its tracks? Deaths and hospitalizations are low.
IF the boosters help, let the willing and vulnerable take them, let the rest get BA.5. Or not get it.
The vaccine companies and CDC haven’t even got an omicron specific booster out. Maybe later this fall, in time for sigma and upsilon.
