Cultured Meat- one company has the production cost for chicken breast down to $1.70/lb. Really only good for nuggets and patties because they can't duplicate muscle texture so it's more like the chopped and formed products.
Gene-Edited Veggies grown indoors in vertical farms using AI and robotics.
The manufacture of all that high tech equipment and the chemicals used sure does look "sustainable". Same thing as wind turbines, solar panels and a gazillion batteries. It's all a transfer of wealth and control to a certain group of people.
All these things have something in common. They can all be patented. What kind of food is patented right now? RoundUp ready corn/soy. Who owns it? Big Pharma since Bayer bought Monsanto. How much of the market do they control? 80% iirc.(quick search says 90% in 2003) All the other high tech produced food is being funded by various investors including asset managers.

They're also working on gene-edited livestock and you just know farmers will jump on board if they can make a little more money(to start with), just like they did with roundup ready corn.
That means techies, pharma and financier types will own almost all food production and all of them are globalist/futurist/progressive/technocrat types.
The future will be some kind of mix of Idiocracy, Elysium, Hunger Games and some other dystopian nightmares like Black Mirror episodes if they have their way.
RoundUp is failing. There are more roundup resistant weeds every year and some farmers are getting away from it. The seed's more expensive and now they're having to mechanically cultivate to knock down weeds again like pre-roundup days.
One of the consistent needs expressed by those seeking to transform the food system is a shared narrative to motivate and sustain the needed changes in the system. This narrative and messaging guide focuses on the long-term food system transformation while responding to the evolving circumstances presented by the pandemic, economic downturn, and racial justice reckoning
Now this "racial justice reckoning" thing just makes my little white arse a bit paranoid. Not one white face in their pdf report which is funny because I'm pretty sure the Rockefellers are pasty white. https://www.rockefellerfoundation.org/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/Food-System-Transformation-Messaging-Guide_Feb-2021.pdf
So plants adapted to resist Round up.
Who ever would have imagined that?
