WASHINGTON, July 20 (Reuters) - A Democratic-controlled U.S. House of Representatives panel on Wednesday began debating legislation to ban certain assault-style rifles such as those used in recent mass shootings, and another bill allowing lawsuits against firearms manufacturers.
The bills face slim odds in the Senate, where they would need at least 10 Republicans allowing them to be brought up for debate. Republicans in the past have rejected similar bills, citing the Second Amendment of the U.S. Constitution dealing with the right to bear arms.

Even the semi-intelligent congress critters know gun bans are the fastest way out of a job. This bill should be DOA.

There should be a bill allowing lawsuits against politicians when their stupid ideas become law and an American citizen is injured either physically or financially. Time to hold the Dumb Bastards in Congress Financially Liable!!
What part of “SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED” don’t they understand? Actually, they don’t care. They know they can do it and it’ll take years in courts to get it over turned. perhaps by then they’ll have packed the court.

They seem to think the hysteria of people saying “Oh, no, someone do something, do anything, to stop the gun violence right now, today” is going to be a magic carpet ride to a vote majority. Dems love that stuff.
When they try to ban them is the time you really need them!
