I think you should add “how much damage are you willing to take” to the statement you posted. When wars are fought there’s damage to both sides. Even a small country like Israel can inflict a lot damage. You may get them but at what cost? All this IMO.
I will always remember the quote by a British tribe who was negotiating with the Roman Empire. They admitted they did not have a chance in hell of beating them but said they would "trouble you greatly with our dying".
A settlement was then reached.
