Ukraine: Russian-backed separatists claim Lysychansk is surrounded

Russia-backed separatists say they have "completely" encircled the key city of Lysychansk in the eastern Luhansk region.

"Today the Luhansk popular militia and Russian forces occupied the last strategic heights, which allows us to confirm that Lysychansk is completely encircled," Andrei Marotchko, a spokesman for the separatist forces, told the TASS news agency.

Ukraine's army denied the claims, saying that fighting is still raging in the city.

So UKR forces that may protect Mikolaiev from attack go on a counter offensive to Stanislav to the accolades of the entire world - immagine the Twitter likes they will get!. Next, the RF starts its artillery meat grinder and inserts Ukies. Eventually, RF retakes Stanislav, without the world ever knowing. The end result is the ability to defend Mikolaiev is degraded, without any fighting in Mikolaiev and minimal RF casualties. This is a wash-rinse-repeat of what just happened in Kharkov.

Lots of rumors swirling - on the road leading out of Lisichansk one out of every 3 Ukrainians trying to flee were wounded and one out of every 6 killed.

Then on the Duran a few minutes ago Alex said that he had heard they captured 6,000.

I find both of those hard to believe; but one thing is clear. With each new massive defeat they are losing so many troops that they are bound to be much less effective.

Earlier today I started a thread featuring an article written by a very candid retired Marine Colonel (2019) who is now the CEO of the company that trains/equips Ukrainian soldiers.

Three things really stood out: (1) He was absolutely shocked by the amount of casualties; (2) They were only allowed 5 days for training (most had never shot a gun) and with one medical group on the second day half were already missing...had to take care of casualties; and (3) Ukraine is doomed.

The Russia MOD on a daily basis is pointing out all the Ukrainian brigades, etc. that have lost half or more of their personnel and are devising plans to hide that fact.

Bottom line: There is nobody left to fight.

Exactly. Seems like the story of the war so far, at least after the Kiev beginning.

I think Ukes made a real mistake letting some of their best forces hang around in the meat grinder probably longer than they should have. You can’t replace those top-level troops.

It’s changing into a rout. The hardest hard core died or were captured in Mariupol. All that’s left are dragooned conscripts who were teachers and plumbers a month ago. They just want to live. Each town will fall more rapidly, back to the Dnepr River.

Jacob Dreisen was on Viva and Barnes a day or two back. Link at the bottom. His insights were head and shoulders above anybody else’s.

For example, he cites based on USSR and then Ukrainian census data that the % of Ukrainians (especially in the south and east) who self-identify as Russian or Ukrainian shifted dramatically from the USSR days to the Ukraine era. IOW, when it benefits one to declare he’s Russian, he will. When that changes, say, for getting a govt job, folks “convert” to Ukrainian nationality. Just one example of Dreizin’s many brilliant insights.

Now they will shift back to identifying as Russian. They just want peace and stability. The Nuland/State Dept Maidan Coup/Revolution was pure poison, setting the stage for this calamity.

Cannot recommend this video too highly. Jacob Dreizin is BRILLIANT.

The Seversky-Donets River has been a nettlesome natural defensive barrier. With Lisichansk established as a bridgehead the path is clear to advance to the Izium front to cover the left flank on an advance to Slovyansk.

A recent UK think-tank report indicates that Ukraine has never had any chance in this "war" and that Western experts have no excuse for not having realized that from day one. Russians are expending artillery ammo which they have a 50-century supply of and the kievites/banderanazis are expending human lives for a hopeless and worthless cause. Ammerican and nato fops and wankers are struggling to keep their nominal boss, Breadline Joe Biden, along with many of their cohorts, out of prison, where they all richly deserve to be.

Yes. The Russians are good at setting traps like that. (They did the same sort of thing to the Germans in WWII.).

Their army does a retreat, the Ukrainian fighters who have holed up in the city do some high fives (“See that? We defeated the Russians!”) and pour out into the flat lands surrounding the city to pursue the retreating Russians. The Russians wait a while for the bulk of the Ukrainian fighters to push on to the tree-less, unprotected plain, and then bomb the sh&t out of them. Then they move in to mop up in the city.

It seems both sides are trying to get as many killed as possible. Is it part of the NWO population reduction program? Ukraine, the "bread basket" that feeds a large part of the world; starvation, to reduce more "worthless eaters", (i.e., not part part of the Global World Leaders elite)?
