If I were trying to destroy the USA - what would I be doing differently?
The SC said abortion could not be established as a Federal judicial matter. It said it’s establishment was a state legislative matter without explicitly ruling on whether the Federal congress could legislate it into existence. Seems to me, if the Federal congress does so, the SC will have to respond to that issue when the Fed law is challenged as beyond the jurisdiction.
I can smell their desperation since they KNOW they are going to lose BIG in November!
Who's putting words in his mouth this time? Clinton? 0bama? Soros?
Romney, Murkowski, and Collins probably agree with their pal Joe.
You might not want to do that dumbass. Someday, the GOP will take over the Congress again. You rectal orifices are going to need your filibuster. Think about it Pedo boy the next time you find yourself in a thoughtful mood.
Is this the same filibuster that the (D)’s demanded before that they now want to eliminate?
The Law of Unintended Consequences edges closer. Say they do end the filibuster and the the GOP sweeps in with a huge majority in November. The GOP will be pretty much unstoppable with anything they want to do.
So what? Joe Manchin has not called for it.
The “we’re losing the baseball game so let’s play rugby” strategy
Evil, yes, but also mind-numbingly stupid.
The SC has returned the abortion question to the states. States will be all over the map on abortion, with many imposing various restrictions, some banning it entirely except to save the life of the mother, and California probably erecting idols to Moloch.
Now Biden wants to re-federalize the question by statute, with the filibuster eliminated (at least regarding abortion) and the law set by pure majority vote in Congress. Really?
Ok. That means the next Republican Congress can impose whatever abortion limits it chooses with 218 votes in the House and 51 votes in the Senate.
What would a Republican Congress actually do, absent the filibuster? Well, probably not go full Alabama, but we would see votes on parental notification and consent, mandatory waiting periods, much tighter regulation and standards for abortion providers, informed consent (e.g. counselling on abortion alternatives and mandatory viewing of ultrasounds), fathers’ rights, and most definitely escalating restrictions on later stage abortions.
All by simple majority vote. I know the left is deranged, but are they really this stupid?
Did election year Democrats possibly work in cahoots with Supremes to sacrifice their politically correct, pro-murder of unborn children sacred cow to give the very corrupt, Democratic-controlled Congress the politically correct excuse to rescue women from pro-life conservatives by making constitutionally indefensible federal abortion rights legislation to try to stop Trump’s red tsunami of patriot supporters in November?
Something like that.
Insights welcome.
Amazing and uncanny this guy is, infallibly latching onto the stupidest ideas anywhere. It’s negative intelligence, it’s a stupidogram.
Even conservatives fall into this trap of “federal” means “more legal.”
The federal government has limited power under the Constitution. Even a federal ban on abortion would be shaky at best. A federal ban on crossing state lines to get an abortion might be on more solid ground.
Go ahead. Doing it for Supreme Court justices worked well for us.
And I thought Obama was bad...
President Retard wants to be King so he can kill more little kids 🤪
Whatever The Idiot says, do the opposite.
