Video: Trump Just Responded to Whether He Will Run in 2024 and He Thinks His Answer Will Make You 'Happy'

Former President Donald Trump dropped the strongest hint to date that he plans to run for reelection in 2024.
In a wide-ranging telephone interview with radio host and author Wayne Allyn Root last week, the 45th president assured supporters that they’ll be “very happy” with his decision.
“Are you planning to run for president? What can you say?” Root asked at the end of the interview (about the 20:40 mark of the video below).
Trump replied, “Well, you’re going to be happy, OK? You’re going to be very happy, I really believe that.”
. . . . .
Meanwhile, there’s mounting speculation that a second Trump presidential bid is all but certain.
In August 2021, former White House press secretary Sean Spicer essentially confirmed the rumors with a pithy, “He’s in.”
At this point, the timing of the announcement is probably a bigger question than whether Trump will actually run again.
Insiders — including son Eric Trump — have expressed concern about the Democrats’ malicious prosecution of his father to prevent a re-election bid.
If Trump announced his candidacy now, it would also give Trump’s political enemies more time to launch a full-frontal attack on his businesses and his supporters.
There’s also apprehension that a premature announcement could hurt the GOP by being a distraction from the 2022 midterm elections that are shaping up to be a disaster for Democrats.
. . . .
Either way, numerous Democratic strategists are terrified at the prospect of another Trump presidential campaign.
“There’s not a strategist or insider that I’m hanging out with who would like to see Donald Trump running again,” Democratic pollster Rachel Bitecofer told The Hill in October. “Nobody should think he would be a weak nominee.”

There really are a large number of economic issues indicating a really bad time coming soon.
We will all get to find out just how bad.

“You may be right - a lot of Trump supporters likely would be petulant enough not to vote for DeSantis in the general election if he won the nomination.”
Which wouldn’t be any different than the jokers who skipped the 2016 Republican convention.
Or the jokers who have spent the last 6 years bashing Trump, while pretending they give a crap about the country, let alone the Republican Party.

Actually, there have been 15 Vice-Presidents that went on to be President. Nine through death or resignation of the president. I'm assuming you're not hoping that DeSantis gets the presidency that way. Two were elected president but not as sitting vice-president. That leaves four: Bush, Van Buren, Adams, and Jefferson. One sitting vice president in 200 years. I'd say DeSantis is smart enough to be aware of the odds against him should he accept the vice presidency.

Of course I’m right...
Do yourself a favor, never get involved in political consulting.

I'm pretty sure that DeSantis is not a man who makes decisions on the "Odds" but rather on principle.

Don't count on it. When ambition is involved friendship means nothing. DeSantis wants to be president. He's not going to let anything get between him and that.
Nothing I have seen concerning the character of DeSantis would make me believe he puts himself so far above anything else as your comment would seem to state.
DeSantis strikes me as an honorable man who will put his Country first, and himself second.

Let me ask you this. Had Trump been reelected then who do you think would be the front runner in 2028 - Pence or DeSantis?

Right back at you!
The chance of DeSantis being Trump's running mate is negligible. DeSantis isn't stupid enough quit his job as Governor to be Trump's VP. Plenty of other choices Trump can make.

Hard to tell.
But I do believe that DeSantis would have given him Pence a run for the money simply because he is better on policy and much better on communicating those policies.
He's a politician. He makes decisions based on what's best for him.
Ultimately so was President Reagan and so is President Trump.
You can be a politician and be honorable at the same time. They are not mutually exclusive.
And given how DeSantis has performed as Governor and what is known by his actions concerning his character, he comports himself as an Honorable man.

The chances of Trump wanting DeSantis to be his running mate are zip zero. Neither Trump nor DeSantis are that stupid.

But I do believe that DeSantis would have given him Pence a run for the money simply because he is better on policy and much better on communicating those policies. Because he's had 8 years implementing those policies and has had a record to talk about and run on. What would Pence have done except do what he was told to do and say what he was told to say?
Ultimately so was President Reagan and so is President Trump.
And every other president and politician. DeSantis is no different.

If you cannot see that President Trump is honorable you are as blind as a bat.

Well, while I generally agree with that statement, I would add that Pence has always been an empty suit and either a GOP Establishment prick or a close GOP Establishment prick. He really does not have a conservative core.
