I forgot the exact speeds, IIRC it is “posted” 90 but they usually run 1-2 mph under as speeding is a very big no-no. Outside the Northeast Corridor, that is the fastest passenger train. Most other Long Distance trains usually have speed limits of something like 50-70 MPH as they run freight RR tacks that aren’t built for high speeds, but rather weight.

I stand corrected, Max MPH for Amtrak is 79 mph, but still.
