Building codes vs highly held religious/spiritual beliefs. Apples to oranges. There are no building codes where I live in Missouri btw. I built my own place how I wanted.
Life at conception, a religious belief that at the moment of conception, God has created a new life and therefor that life is precious.
Life at 12 weeks, 20 weeks? Based on a combo of science/opinion, both of which are known to evolve over time. Abortion up to viable stage? Has also changed over time, currently 21-22 weeks. Life at heart beat detection? Opinion based on sense of sound. It must be real, I can hear it.
Immaculate conception. Jesus. At what point did Jesus become? Upon conception? 12 weeks? 20 weeks? Once heart beat could be heard?
When is a soul created? Some people don't believe in souls. You're wanting universal clarity on deep religious/spiritual concepts that man has pondered forever.
Congress had 49 years to fix this. They didn’t do it. The Democrats are just as culpable as the Republicans here, and any campaign pronouncements about their good intentions should be viewed through that prism.
