Don’t you know that when someone like Kari Lake surfaces, two things happen...those who love her will be thrilled at her response...those, Smarty Pantses who MUST FIND SOMETHING NEGATIVE to show just how Smarty they are.
As for me, I love her, her style, her looks, her ability to produce a reply that is both clever and effective, heck, if I were a guy I’d ask her out. (only kidding pearl clutchers).
By the way, I had some pretty great times being silly when I was young...there are some who NEVER HAD FUN..too busy finding fault.

While some politicians are beyond redemption, through repeated treason, such as Kevin McCarthy, Kari Lake is still allowed redemption. She deserves a chance.
Voting for Lake is like voting for Oz. There are known good alternatives. Lake is a TV personality whose history is left of most of the other Republicans running. Voting for her because she is famous, pretty, and on the TEEVEE, is just stupid. Not working out well in Pennsylvania either.

I did not know much about Kari Lake until I saw this thread. From what I understand, a drag queen is lashing out at Lake for speaking out against drag queens being welcomed in schools. He says he met Lake in the late 1990’s when she and some of her Fox10 co-workers would go to a Phoenix gay bar that hosted drag shows; and that he was her go-to person for gay related stories. Lake is suing him for making false statements. He claims that she invited him to her house to do a show and that her daughter was present. She says it was at someone else’s house and her daughter was not present.
Regardless of her previous friendship with a drag queen, it appears that Kari Lake is far from being a liberal. She was originally a Republican and returned to being a Republican 10 years ago.
After her resignation from KSAZ in 2021, she:
Appeared in a video for PragerU
Purchased an account on Gab
Aligned herself with Trump, claiming that he won Arizona in the 2020 election
Attended events headed by Mike Lindell
Said that she would not have certified the 2020 election results for Arizona
Led anti-mask rallies, calling on Arizona State University students to violate the university’s mask requirement policy, and saying that if governor she would not tolerate mask requirements and vaccine requirements of the COVID-19 pandemic
Told an audience of Republican retirees that she was taking hydroxychloroquine to prevent COVID-19 infection; and stated that, as governor, she would work to have the drug and ivermectin produced in the state.
She identifies as a conservative Republican.
She opposed Red for Ed in 2018, claiming the movement was pushing to legalize pot.
She attended CPAC in 2021.
She says she is pro-life
She wrote in an op-ed that, if governor, she would deport illegal immigrants without seeking federal approval and she would complete Trump’s border wall.
She opposes legislation to create non-discrimination laws for sexual orientation and gender identity
She opposes persons using restrooms of the opposite sex.
Not being in Arizona, I do not have knowledge about the alternatives. But based on the above, it appears that Lake has solid conservative credentials.
2021 is a very recent “conversion”. Pretty convenient. She is either shallow as a dry lake, or just politically conniving.
We have pictures of Lake, giddy, with the drag queens. Not worth taking the risk of voting for her for a fairly critical position. Go run for state rep or congress and prove yourself. We are ending up with terrible candidates like Oz and Lake because they are supposedly telegenic.
To reiterate, I do not know the alternatives in Arizona. Is Robson or Salmon a better alternative?
