That’s not as easy as people think that it is.

New York will be forced to follow the law, just like DC was.

They might kick and scream, but DC had shall issue imposed on them, and even non-residents can get the permits, whether DC likes it or not.

Yep, NY may certainly try that game, but the courts will force them to actually comply. And should any federal judges try to play games, they will be reversed by SCOTUS. It’s a solid 6-3 decision. So, a bit of foot dragging and silliness, maybe, but there will be no $10,000, 4.0 GPA, or other absurdities required like the pessimists think.

I sincerely hope you are right but my experience with the left, and they are centered in NY, is that they have pull, control and influence. Judges at all levels are part of the problem and they are more than capable of stalling every inch of the way. People interested in their freedom and their rights often do poorly in NY courts.

The entire state and especially NYC thinks they are in charge and the rest of us are rubes lucky to be living with them.
