If DeSantis starts drawing crowds like Trump does.. with people waiting in miles long lines for hours or driving across multiple state lines to hear him speak, then I will think he has a chance. Until then he will remain a potential disaster in the general election. Getting votes in a general election is a very different animal than turning out the party faithful.

Fine. A primary doesn’t hurt anybody. It should help Trump tune up his debating skills. He was disastrous in his first debate with Biden, either because he was lazy and I’ll prepared or simply out of practice.

Believe it or not, you only get one vote no matter how many rallies you attend. Also, attending a rally isn’t a prerequisite for casting a vote.

I’m skeptical about Trump winning any of the groups he lost in the last election. He continues to turn off certain groups and until he attempts to expand his tent he is set for a repeat of 2020. Before the NeverTrumper haters jump on me I did vote for him twice. But until he stops turning off large swaths of the electorate he is destined to repeat history.
