Russia can hate us all they want but that is not a justification for invasion. If they wish to preserve their culture against Western perverts then let them pass the appropriate laws within their own territories. What goes on in Ukraine is none of their business.
There are many pro-Russian elements here complaining about this being a surrogate war but it is the pro-Russians themselves who have made it such. They are supporting an unjustified Russian invasion into Ukraine in order to fight their own war against the New World Order. But that is not why Russia invaded, rather it is just Putin's attempt to re-establish his vision of an Imperial Russian world order.

Well, what really infuriates them is that we appear to be weak, fractious societies with far too great a tolerance for moral perversion, but we are still stronger than they are.

Interdicting shipping on the high seas might be considered an act of war - but closing the borders of your country to foreign cargo, i.e., not allowing transit through your own territory of foreign goods is most certainly allowed under International Law.
