If not exactly that, he could’ve returned results to the legislatures of some states for THEM to de-certify their submitted results. IIRC, at least one legislature (PA, I think) requested that.

No, thatā€™s the biggest problem with Pence taking any action. No states submitted competing electors nor disputed anything.

Individual legislators in a few states did but they have no constitutional weight.

I donā€™t know why people keep posting this verifiably false B.S. here. No legislature did any such thing. A group of a dozen people in a state legislate with 250+ representatives canā€™t act on behalf of the legislature.
