SpaceX has fired some of the employees behind a letter criticizing CEO Elon Musk's 'embarrassing' and 'distracting' tweets yesterday, claiming some workers were pressured into signing it.
The letter was posted to the company’s internal communications system Wednesday, hours after Musk revealed publicly that he had voted for a Republican candidate for the first time by voting for Mayra Flores in South Texas.
In the letter, the unnamed workers gave the company's directors 'one month' to 'swiftly and explicitly separate' from 'Elon's personal brand'.
They demanded that the company become more 'inclusive', and said its 'zero asshole' policy was not enforced clearly.

There ya go.
They probably saw what happened at some other companies, like the New York Times, in which wokesters in the newsroom demanded, and got, the firing of an editor who published an editorial by Tom Cotton supporting use of the National Guard against Antifa/BLM rioters. So they thought they could go for it.
Poor judgment and undermining company leadership.
Only a fool would allow them to stay.
“’zero asshole’ policy was not enforced clearly”
It is now, snowflakes.
I’d say they are now separated from the Elon Musk personal brand.
I’m looking, too. I’ll have to see if SpaceX allows telework. I know that Tesla won’t, but that doesn’t bother me. Their circus, their monkeys.
You're a nicer man than I.
I'd give them glowing recommendations to my competitors...
Draft letters are being used by many political activists today - within companies and without. It’s a bad practice and never accomplishes it’s purpose.
Elon, unlike the woke CEO’s, doesn’t let a few squeaky inmates run the assylum.
Wish we could fire our “Elected Officials” as easily. Honest elections are obviously not an available option anymore, so where do we turn?
Blackrock will hire them and use them to take over other companies’ boards of directors and screw those companies up.
It is reveling that some employees pressured others to sign.
Even then he’s delightfully goofy!
Oh gosh. They’re not in charge
NASA doesn’t build anything. They administer and launch. Just ask McDonnell Douglas back in the heady days of Yuri and the mercury program.
It was smart of Elon to eradicate that cancer before it infected the whole company.

It seems self serving, and personal, but it’s really not. Building and maintaining a successful culture in an organization is rather rare. If someone cannot even avoid being triggered into criticizing their ownership publicly, who knows what other less-conspicuous toxicity they are responsible for. If the are going to root themselves out, give them a little nod of thanks as you are kicking them in the pants.
Leftists are all for free speech ... as long as it’s THEIR free speech.
Yep. Agree 100%. Take out the trash to protect the good employees.
