I've become convinced over time that the word democracy
is a trope, a story device, and nothing more to Dems.
They bandy the word Republic about when needed and then
it's right back to using democracy as the norm.

It isn't a fear, it's a realization.
People speaking out at school board meetings aren't in fear.
Their response was usually anger. Anger at being deceived.
