Are you familiar with the law? Also,it seems to me that replacing a house's heating system would constitute a significant renovation,particularly here in New England where it can get quite nippy at times.

However,I'm no lawyer...I didn't even stay in a Holiday Inn last night.

I am familiar with the law. Replacing a system is not renovation of the house much less a significant renovation.

Replacement can be performed under the original code. Renovations must be done to current code.
