Yes. The seat will be much more democrat in November. That doesn’t change the historic nature of what happened tonight.

The strategy was to make sure the two new seats in Texas are safe R and minimize the competitive seats. There is basically only one competitive district based on old numbers: TX-15, which will probably flip from D to R. 15’s incumbent, Vincent’s Gonzales, is actually the D nominee for TX-34 in November.
