Trump-Backed Candidate Allowed To Stay On Ballot After Dems Try To Get Him Removed

Tim Michels, the Trump-endorsed candidate in the Wisconsin Governor race has been allowed back on the ballot by the Wisconsin elections officials.

This came after Democrats tried to get him kicked off the ballot because he had the wrong address on nomination papers.

The Democrats alleged that because of the error he only had 350 legitimate signatures and not the 2000 needed.

From Newsmax:

Wisconsin elections officials voted Friday to allow Donald Trump’s endorsed candidate to stay on the Republican primary ballot in the presidential battleground state, pushing aside a Democratic challenge to his nomination papers.

The bipartisan Wisconsin Elections Commission voted unanimously to allow construction company co-owner Tim Michels to appear on the ballot.

Two days later, the state Democratic Party filed a complaint with the elections commission alleging that Michels used the wrong address on his nomination papers. It alleged that the mistake left Michels with only about 350 valid signatures. Michels needed 2,000 valid signatures to qualify for the ballot.

He celebrated the ruling in a statement:

Candidates everywhere have to be on their toes and make sure they are 100% compliant. The left loves to use election lawfare to win without even having to tamper with ballots.

You have to have an address?
Isn’t that racist or something?

It worked in Mi. They got the one Republican who would have beat the rat Governor removed from the primary ballot. The rat SOS threw out hundreds of petitions because of a few dodgy signatures.

Re: “Wait, I thought that ALL votes matter?”

All democRAT votes matter.

All democRAT votes and bags of ballots matter.

All democRAT votes and bags of ballots (in the trunks of cars waiting to be used if necessary) matter.

That’s a overly simplistic and a bit “dodgy” explanation.
The campaign’s vetting process failed and allowed Rat interlopers to collect signatures.
Purposefully executed and Craig fell for it.

It is common knowledge that if you want to invalidate a signature drive, all you need is one invalid signature and it invalidates the entire page.
I’d bet $100 that this is how the rest of the signatures were “removed”

Oversimplified yes but l was using brevity to make the point. The same rat SOS instructed the city clerks to ignore non matching signatures on 2020 ballots. Flash forward 2 years and she puts a microscope on every Craig petition to get them tossed. MSM seems to have no problem with a Black man getting thrown off the ballot because of the rats sabotaging Craig’s petitions.

Not correct in all states.

In Maine, bad signatures only invalidate that signature. But you need to have the correct name, address and district number on the petition. This cycle, I had to go back to ten people on a street to get new signatures because someone else misspelled the candidates name (a hard to spell name). Luckily, it was an easy street to get signatures.

Michels’ campaign acknowledged that some of the nominating forms list his physical address in the village of Chenequa instead of his official mailing address that is in the nearby town of Hartland. But it said all of the forms include the campaign’s post office box mailing address.

In Maine, we require the residential address and mailing address only if different. A candidate’s residential address is the address of the place they live.
