Former President Donald Trump’s effort to extract revenge on lawmakers who challenged his hold on the GOP meets its latest test Tuesday in South Carolina, where he has thrown his weight behind challengers to Reps. Tom Rice, who voted to impeach him, and Nancy Mace, who criticized his role in the Jan. 6, 2021, uprising.
Trump has endorsed state Rep. Russell Fry, one of six Republicans running against Rice in the 7th District, and former state Rep. Katie Arrington, who is challenging Mace in the 1st. He appeared with them at a South Carolina rally in March and boosted them in a phone call to supporters last week, during which he called the races "two of the most critical primary elections in the country."
But both Rice and Mace have received support from other high-profile Republicans who have previously fallen in line behind the former president. Former House Speaker Paul D. Ryan, R-Wis., traveled to South Carolina to campaign with Rice, while Mace was endorsed by both former acting White House Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney and former South Carolina Gov. and U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley.

May the Trunp-approved contenders win with plenty of margin!
six Republicans running against Rice. I have lost count of how many times has the damn vote splitting screwed us.
“six Republicans running against Rice. I have lost count of how many times has the damn vote splitting screwed us.”
Which means Rice gets a second chance in the runoff.
No way he wins outright tomorrow, but probably neither does anyone else (this could easily happen in Mace’s district too) and the liberal establishment will, with Democrat help, pull out all the stops to save these endangered RINOs in 2 weeks.
Last poll I saw, Rice was behind by 17
Mace was up a 5 last poll I saw.
So if polling is accurate, looks like a split... Rice will get crushed, and Mace will stay
last poll I saw had Rice down 17, don’t see any way in hell, even in a runoff situation that Rice pulls it out.
If Mace wins this we get what we deserve, if we can’t EVER primary these SCUM RINOS we get the damn government we deserve simple as that!!
Well at least SC has a runoff system. I always think of McCain, Flake and Graham with the vote splitting
That's encouraging. I don't put a lot of faith in polls anymore, but you'd think it would be accurate to within 17 points.
I am not sure that was an accurate poll that showed Rice down 17 points. Considering it is an open primary it is not easy to poll for primaries in SC. I expect to see a run-off between Rice and Fry.
If you like tearing down historical statues then by all means vote for Nancy Mace. If you think it is ok for a black Capitol Police Officer to kill an unarmed white woman on Jan. 6, then vote for Nancy Mace. If you think it is ok to vote for Nancy Pelosi’s big spending programs that cause inflation, vote for Nancy Mace. If you think open borders are a great idea, vote for Nancy Mace. If you support the Green New Deal as Nancy Mace does, then vote for her.
If you support the America First agenda as Katie Arrington does, vote for her.
The Green New Deal is Joe Biden’s plan to ban fossil fuels. Our economy runs on Fossil Fuels.
South Carolina loves their Bush League Republicans, it’s almost all they elect.
Mace was endorsed by both former acting White House Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney and former South Carolina Gov. and U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley.

Back stabbing Bush Leaguers always stick together.
Bush the second was such a mistake...
Daddy Bush was a huge mistake, too.
It’s going to be hard to beat these stinking RINOs if we can’t get rid of open primaries.
June 3rd internal poll from Washington Times has Rice at 38%, Fry at 21% and Arthur at 19%
You probably remember South Carolina Republican Governor Nikki Haley found statues of Confederate Generals offensive. They were so offensive to Gov. Haley that she ordered the statues removed from South Carolina Capital grounds.
Nancy Mace apparently finds historical Confederate statues in the D.C. Capital Rotonda offense too so she voted with Nancy Pelosi to remove the statues.
I happen to like history so I disagree with both Gov. Nikki Haley and Congresswoman Nancy Mace.
I find their actions similar to the Taliban who found the ancient statues of Buddha’s offensive and destroyed the Buddha’s.
