My beautiful niece and her husband just bought a $900,000 on Portrero Hill. Haven’t moved in yet. They’re leaving Dallas for better jobs.

Anyone know crime stats for Portrero?

According to the Areavibes website, the crime rate for Portrero Hill is higher than for San Francisco as a whole, but the neighborhood gets good ratings for amenities, employment and schools. The community is ethnically mixed with a number of Russian, Austrian, Japanese and South Asian residents as well as a large number of "same-sex couples."

They’re going to wish they hadn’t. They’re going to need *way* more money than they think just to maintain what they can of their current lifestyle given the expenses of living in CA.
