Ukrainian troops are suffering massive losses as they are outgunned 20 to one in artillery and 40 to one in ammunition by Russian forces, according to new intelligence painting a bleak picture of the conflict on the frontline.

For the first time since the war began, there is now concern over desertion. The report, seen by The Independent, says the worsening situation in the Donbas, with up to a hundred soldiers being killed a day, is having “a seriously demoralising effect on Ukrainian forces as well as a very real material effect; cases of desertion are growing every week”.

Ukraine is a VERY patriotic country.

Says who? The NY Times? Biden? CNN?? They are the 4th most corrupt nation on earth and your president just rewarded that criminality with $55bn dollars from the US taxpayers. Wake up please. We are in trouble.

They did lie. Oh and by the way, actual reported numbers of Ukrainian soldiers daily death rate far exceed 100.

Hohols (what Russians call them) seem to be getting wiped really bad and I get the definite impression that Russians don't like them...

The only rational thing they could possibly do at this point is surrender.

So what happened to that $40B in military aide that the U.S. sent a while ago? I wonder where that ended up?

````````````````````````````````````
Well, we know where at least 10% of it went.
It’s a bad article with inaccuracies, but it is true that Russia has more artillery.
The $40B was what was authorized, but hasn’t yet been all delivered.
For artillery AFAIK the US has so far provided ammo, 90 m777 howitzers and 4 HIMARS rocket artillery trucks. These are all better than Russian equivalents, but quantity has a quality of its own.
I’ve never been to the Unkraine, but I did know Ukrainian immigrants, back in the seventies, who had Ukrainian flags and “Free Ukraine” posters in their dorms.
So I don’t consider it impossible.
Nothing creates as sense of patriotism than a clearly evil oppressor. And Ukraine has had plenty of that.
So just wondering.
Assuming Russia is going to get the Eastern half of Ukraine anyway and then hate us for the foreseeable future. I wonder what would have happened if the USA would have acted more as a neutral state, sent non-lethal aide, acted as a negotiator or intermediary?
Maybe Russia would still have the Eastern part and would view us and not China as strong trading partners and friends? We would have billions of dollars to spend on the border (haha just joking) and a lot fewer people might be dead.
Who suggested such action? Well me and many, many of other non Dems, neo-cons, and Warhawks.
Now I will wait for the standard responses Putin would have taken all of the Ukraine and moved on to the rest of Europe by now—- a second Hitler. Problem is you have no proof of that.
I thought the war was over, Russia won. All that is left for Zelinsky to do is cash the checks.
US General Stephen Twitty: “AFU casualties could reach 200,000 troops”
At the end of the 102nd day of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, former deputy chief of US European Command Lt. Gen. Steven Twitty spoke the truth. In “non-independent Ukraine,” he was immediately labeled a Putinist and branded a “Zradnik,” rather than listening to the military man who rose from commanding a rifle platoon to commanding the United States’ First Army.
On top of that, Twitty is a combat officer. He commanded the 3rd Battalion, 15th Infantry Regiment during Operation Iraqi Freedom from June 2001 to June 2003 and his unit, Task Force 3-15, received the Presidential Unit Citation.
“I think the war in Donbass is developing in favor of the Russians. They don’t put the whole mass of fighting power there with infantry and tanks. They have massed their artillery and that is the reason for their success. Russia has far more fighting power than the Ukrainians. And there is no way that the Ukrainians will ever destroy or defeat the Russians. And I’ll tell you more: the Ukrainians will never have enough fighting power to drive the Russians out of Ukraine,” Twitty said.
He estimates that 200,000 soldiers have mysteriously disappeared from the AFU. “Who knows where they are today?” - The General asked. This vast number of military personnel is simply not on the US authorities’ radar. Either there was a fraudulent mobilization, or worse, they were defeated.
https://thedreizinreport.com/2022/06/09/since-everyone-asks-whats-the-russian-air-force-doing/
Russia’s cruise missiles have been such a blast, they are taboo in the MSM
Cruise missiles have been THE greatest Russian success story of this war, which is probably why they have gone almost unmentioned in the U.S. and UK press.
First, “no one” expected Russia to have so many. As of now, somewhere north of 1500 of various types (mostly the Kalibr but also the Oniks, Kh-22, Kinzhal, etc.) have been launched against targets in the Ukraine, which is ABOUT THREE-QUARTERS AS MANY CRUISE MISSILES AS THE UNITED STATED HAS LAUNCHED IN **ALL** ITS WARS AND OPERATIONS SINCE 1991.
Second, these things have proven to be amazingly accurate, usually to within just a few meters. In over 100 days of war, with over 1500 launches, excluding the 10 percent or so that have been shot down, the number of Russian cruise missiles that have fallen so short of their targets as to kill civilians or damage civilian homes (without damaging their intended targets at all) can probably be counted on two hands.
Third, Russian cruise missiles have destroyed likely hundreds of tons and hundreds of millions (if not billions) of dollars of NATO country hardware and munitions being moved inside, or stored in, the Ukraine, before it even reached the “front lines.”
Much of this stuff was supposed to be “hidden”, but was discovered by Russian intelligence using satellite imagery or in many cases, informers on the ground. This is an embarrassment, and not something Uncle Sam wants to advertise.
Of course, in war there are losses, but as it’s not supposed to be “their” war, it’s not something “they” want to highlight to their taxpaying publics. As far as the party line goes, all the “donations” are reaching Ukrainian forces in the field.
Is it any wonder that this success story has been fully ignored by the “Russia is losing” crowd?
