When there is no law, there is no law

There is thus no law protecting the old man Pelosi

Yeah, I read somewhere yesterday that (I believe that this is the correct order and principals) Nancy had a chat with Garland, and he had a talk with DOJ and....you know the rest.

We control you and there's nothing you can do to us.

Except their power trip could suddenly end from a single point and click from any one of us at any time. They do not like normals having that kind of free access to the tiller of destiny. They really, really need to disarm us. Then their power over us increases to the next level.

Once someone has all the money they could ever want, it ceases to be an addiction. Next comes power, and for that addiction there is no off switch.

I’m betting they’re as silent as NOW is about the women that were paid off by their Congressional abusers and harassers.

And the gun control folks say nothing about Hunter lying on his 4473

Cool! Show Off and Tell. I’ve never played before but who doesn’t like to boast? I’ll get back to you later. Do good stuff until then.

If it were you or me the crash and BAC would be plenty of proof.

“So charges have not been dropped?”

at this time, there’s no evidence of charges being dropped ...

Looks like you've carved out a decent middle class life. Sincere appreciation. You made the world a better place.

I like to see pics and hear about a regular citizen's life path. I'm interested. I'll send some pics too but I hope we can converse rather than get distracted with our vanities.

An early retiree, cool. How did you manage that? What age were you? What age are you now?

Travel can make for a rewarding life. And a broader perspective, for sure. Where have you been? What have you seen?

We share an affinity for jungles, waterfalls, and beaches. Views too. I've had good views, markomalley, watch out, lol. JK. I'll share my experiences after I hear back.

Hope your day's going okay. Crappy left makes it pretty tough.

Of course, as this pic shows I started out very privileged, lol.

Fair enough. Sitting drinking my morning coffee right now.

I did 21 years in the military and 20 years in the defense/aerospace industry thereafter.

Due to my experience in the military, I had many years living in other countries and learned to appreciate that there are other places.

I would’ve retired at 58, but travel restrictions prevented me from leaving until 59 (now 61). How did I do so? I lived with a lifestyle that was beneath my means rather than played with the “Modern American Dream” (MAD) — buy crap you don’t need or want with money you don’t have to impress people you don’t like in the first place. Why 58? Because it was at that age that my family obligations keeping me in the States were complete.

For example, rather than replacing cars every few years, I would maintain my cars and replace them only when maintaining them was no longer economically feasible. Rather than living in a stylish neighborhood, I lived in a safe neighborhood in a generally depressed area (If you are familiar with the DC area, I could’ve lived in a good neighborhood in Montgomery County but, to save money, I chose to live in a relatively safe enclave in PG County — thereby reducing the size of my house mortgage by 50%. The opportunity cost is that I used Catholic schools for my kid’s education vice public schools...learning later on that this was a good move for multiple reasons)

Now I live in one of the least-woke (but non-Muslim) countries in the world (Thailand). I own a 3BR villa located less than ½ mile from the beach that cost the equivalent of $76k. As long as you are willing to eat the same diet as the locals, food is incredibly cheap. Average electric bill is about $35 a month. Internet bill (with cable, which I never watch) is about $40 a month. Cell phone bill with unlimited 5G data is about $12 a month. Not trying to brag, but the cost of living is so much cheaper here that a person can live quite well on a monthly budget of $1500 or $2000 a month. Just try doing that in any metropolitan area in the States (even before Bideninflation).

The culture is different here, but not bad. There is a very strong cultural proscription against abortion (being Buddhist, they believe in reincarnation...but if you abort your baby, you won’t get reincarnated and have a very painful forever in their version of hell). They don’t play around with 94 different genders. Somebody born male remains male for the rest of his life, regardless of his feelings or however he mutilates his body. Those few people who believe they are a woman in a man’s body accept this fact and don’t protest it at all. And if you know Asians at all, you know they are quite plainspoken when it comes to race. Unapologetic. (In fact, when you arrive at the main international airport and walk toward customs and baggage claim is a big billboard advertising “skin whitening” cream...been like that for years)

As far as travel since retiring, I’ve been all over in the country. I haven’t gone to neighboring countries yet due to travel restrictions that are now being eased (so I have plans in place to start visiting neighboring countries in the upcoming year. Probably only Laos and Malaysia right now, but will add the rest of SE Asia in upcoming years).

BTW, some pics:

Saw this as we were coming toward the house a couple of days ago:

A medium-sized water monitor lizard.

Fortunately this hasn't happened to us yet:

I’ve seen some of his videos, but prefer Harald Baldr and, to a lesser degree, Bald and Bankrupt.

Not yet. His next court date is August 3rd. It seems like the charges are under review though

“NAPA COUNTY, Calif. (KRON) – Paul Pelosi, the husband of the Speaker of the House of Representatives and San Francisco’s representative in that body, will be facing an August 3 court date after he was arrested on suspicion of DUI over Memorial Day weekend, according to the Napa County District Attorney’s office.

Pelosi, 82, will be brought before Napa County Superior Court at 8:30 a.m.”
