Yes. CNN and MSNBC both gave it 2 minutes each so far. They did say they would provide additional coverage when they had more information.
The CNN reporter actually went beyond reporting the facts of what happened and connected it with warnings that threats were connected with the abortion case leak and that people on both sides are very passionate about the issue.
She specifically quoted from federal officials and, essentially agreeing with them, said, “This risk really comes from BOTH SIDES of this abortion debate.”
If it were someone who wants Roe v. Wade to be overturned, it would be used to smear ALL conservatives, Christians, Republicans, and Trump supporters. But since it is an abortion promoter, it is important to remind everyone (without evidence) that BOTH SIDES might resort to terroristic threats and actions. Except, so far, it has only been one side.
And that was the point of my earlier post. The leftwing media will quickly move on with other stories since this one does not fit their narrative. If it did, they would run with the story 24/7. We would end up with a June 8 committee that would require all Trump supporters to turn over their private phone, text, and email records in case some kind of link could be imagined to exist. June 8 would later become a national holiday with the express purpose of committing blood libel against Christians, conservatives, and Republicans.
So far neither CNN nor MSNBC have denounced the threat by the abortionist, and they did not rush out to ask for a Democrat to denounce it either.
By framing the contentiousness to be about the "leak", the MSM is trying to imply that those who think the leak was wrong are on the side of the would-be assassin. Most people who are pro-abortion are glad for the leak, so when they hear that this guy is "anti-leak", their gut tells them he's anti-abortion and therefore deplorable; they don't need to read any further.
That's why the MSM dares to report on this - they have a way of inflaming their side to righteousness by implying the evil assassin is anti-leak rather than pro abortion.
