An investigation into the mysterious death of former President Bill Clinton’s adviser Mark Middleton has been reopened, but the details of his death have been muzzled by a lawsuit brought forward by his family.
59-year-old Middleton, a longtime special adviser for Clinton while he was president, was found hanging from a tree with a shotgun blast to the chest in early May at the Heifer Ranch outside Perryville, Arkansas.
“I don’t know the man, and I don’t why he picked our county or picked that location to commit suicide. To our knowledge, he had never been there before, and we have no record of him being there before,” Perry County Sheriff Scott Montgomery told the Daily Mail.
“He died from a self-inflicted shotgun wound to the chest. He found a tree and he pulled a table over there, and he got on that table, and he took an extension cord and put it around a limb, put it around his neck and he shot himself in the chest with a shotgun,” he said.
“It was very evident that the shotgun worked because there was not a lot of blood or anything on the scene. You can tell the shotgun blast was on his chest, you can tell that because there is a hole in the chest and pellets came out the back of his back. It was definitely self-inflicted in our opinion.”
In the 1990s, Middleton served as a “conduit” between Clinton and the late billionaire pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, having arranged at least 7 of the 17 visits Epstein made to the White House, and flew on the Lolita Express several times himself, according to the Daily Mail.
A source reportedly confirmed to Radar Online that Middleton was found hanging from a tree by an extension cord with a close-range shotgun blast through his chest, and likely did not commit suicide.
“Everyone that I know here, that has worked with Mark, knows it is physically impossible for Mark to have killed himself,” the source, identified as a “terrified business associate” of Middleton, reportedly said.
“He could not physically hold a shotgun and done that to himself,” the source added. “He knows nothing about guns! He hated guns; he couldn’t have tied a noose to save his life! The man couldn’t change a light bulb by himself. He was the least physically skilled person I have ever met in my life. He was very smart, great with paperwork, legalities, and all of that but he couldn’t physically take care of himself.”
Radar had filed a Freedom of Information Act request with the Perry County Sheriff’s Department demanding copies of the police report, as well as photos and video contained within it.
But Middleton’s wife Rhea and brother Larry filed a “temporary restraining order and preliminary injunction” against the disclosure of the police report and contents associated with it to prevent the spread of “unsubstantiated conspiracy theories.”
“Since Mr. Middleton’s death, Mr. Middleton’s family, including the Middletons, has been harassed by outlandish, hurtful, unsupported, and offensive online articles regarding Mr. Middleton, his death, and his family,” states the lawsuit.
“The same individuals who created the online articles will attempt to obtain details of the File.”
Additionally, Montgomery revealed to Radar that the investigation into Middleton has been reopened, further stymying attempts to obtain information about the details of Middleton’s death.
“At this time this is an open investigation, and we are not releasing any information,” Montgomery said in an email, without elaborating on the decision to reopen the investigation.
Perry County Coroner Bill Greene also refused to release autopsy details, citing the open investigation.
“Right now, it’s considered an open case, and nothing is being released on it at this time,” a worker at the coroner’s office said. “That means it’s under investigation…it’s a legal matter which I guess might be supposed as a criminal matter also, I don’t know.”
Middleton’s family expressed their grief over his death in a now-deleted Facebook post through the family-owned Middleton Heat & Air HVAC business.
“The Middleton Family is saddened to share that Mark Middleton passed away this weekend,” the post said.
“The Middleton family has lost an inspiring and dedicated leader, as well as a son, brother, husband, and father. Mark leaves behind a company that he helped build from the ground up alongside his family and was proud to run for the last 25 years.”
“No words can express our sadness over this loss or our gratitude for your support and prayers during this time.”
Middleton’s death is not the only one linked to Epstein, who himself was allegedly found dead in his Manhattan prison cell in 2019 with a bedsheet wrapped around his neck.
French modeling scout and “Epstein accomplice” Jean-Luc Brenel was also found hanged in his prison cell in February. He’d been indicted in December 2021 for “rape of a minor” and “sexual harassment” as part of the Epstein probe.
Unique method of suicide. How many suicides like this has been recorded?
Arkancide - in every sense of the word.
Staged. The cleaners did their work well. The family members were silenced, and there were no obvious clues in the immediate vicinity.
Weird side effects from his fourth mRNA booster shot? /s
Arkansas Piñata
Like someone left a spare table in the woods.
“eliminates their own maps” ?
Well that one sure fire way to off yourself
On a scale of 1-10, how surprised would you be to find out he was murdered?
At least he did it outdoors. You do it in your home, and it contaminates it with bad vibes. Makes it very hard for your family to live in that house or to sell it.....
On a scale of 1-10, how surprised would you be to find out that it was he who did it, but he was murdered by someone else instead to make it appear like it was a suicide?
I meant to say surprised to find out it wasn’t he who did it...
What if it wasn’t he who did it?
Hanged and shot in the chest with a shotgun? Mark sure sounds like a ‘belt and suspenders’ kind of guy.
5 on a scale of 10 chance he was murdered. His extended family was very wealthy from their air conditioning business. So this could not be due to money problems.
Yes, 2.
That’s Arkancide! It is epidemic among friends of the Clintons.
I almost expected it to read, “then he kicked the table over to its final location, approximately 5’ away, and placed the shotgun on top of it. After that he tied his own hands and feet. he was clearly very determined.”
Sounds like Montgomery was there to witness the whole thing.
Epstein didn’t and neither did Middleton
