We have a 6 year old fully loaded Malibu, it may have 55.000 miles on it. It rides well, spacious enough for 2 seniors. 30-35 miles to the gallon, why change? We figured it would be our last car baring accidents. We drive less each year. Hub keeps it in top shape. His single daughter has 1 of those rolling death traps Hybrids. She has a IT Business, that for lack of chips may not exist for long. She hit a deer with her 2 yr old one, totaled the deer and car.

We have 2 more modern vehicles, but also a 2000 pickup. The old truck looks like heck but is good for trips ‘around town’. Everything is manual (windows for example have to be rolled down) & I doubt it has many chips. Gas mileage isn’t great, but better than our ‘modern’ vehicles.

The local stores may end up having to install hitching posts the way things are headed. We have enough room for horses (had them here for 40 years) & with the fertilizer shortage, the manure would come in handy. The Amish & Mennonites who have buggies will do just fine. :-)
