it is both true and proven, even by the shop in San Francisco, that electric stovetops do not supply the heat, as well as do not heat the walls of the wok!

Don't worry, capitalist ingenuity and the innovation skills of Asian entrepreneurs will create an alternative wok heater. Perhaps just a giant infra-red lamp that runs off of a diesel generator in the alley. Or a traditional wood fired wok heater for the gourmet establishments.

The net result will be good food but 10 times the emissions of the previous solution.

Of course there are expensive high end heating systems. You should see how fast a million watt laser heats up whatever is put in front of it. But there is a reason only the top tier steak houses and high end restaurants use the $50,000 electric stoves. They have the product pricing margin to support that capital investment.

How well do you think a $150.00 induction heater works? That's what a 200,000 btu gas burner costs. Very expensive solutions only work in some markets.

BTW, how much CO2 emissions is saved if you are running the 30KW wok hob from electricity being made by a natural gas fired turbine? Does the coupling efficiency of the wok to induction heater make up for the efficiency losses of the turbine and the electric distribution system?

Let the market decide.

Switch everything in California over to electric - just in time for the grid to overload and collapse?

Are they nuts?

Put the cart before the horse - FIRST you build more grid capacity THEN you cut out natural gas...

If they have their way, there will only be about 10% of current population around to walk between the mud huts and eat their raw root vegetables.

What they actually did was increase the value of all existing restaurants and housing that currently have gas service.

“I really don’t understand the war against NATURAL gas.”

It really isn’t possible to understand deranged minds.

The last gasp of the racist BLM before the Mexicans take over LA County.

Prepare for some fun TV viewing as the Mexicans crush the racist white BLM on the LA County board. LA County Sheriff Alex Villanueva is hated by the white racists in LA county. The white BLM racists have been trying to fire the sheriff for years, but Villanueva only gets stronger.

The sheriff has enough guns and manpower to stand up to anything Newsome and his gang of racist thugs throw against him.

Depending on the source one reads, Villanueva has between 20,000 and 60,000 armed Mexicans and supporters he can march onto the battlefield. Meanwhile, the entire California state guard consists of 25,000 individuals. Here’s the kicker, you deep state morons: Half the state national guard are...wait for it...Mexicans!

So for all you prescient FReepers who have been predicting that Mexicans will take over California, you were correct.

BTW, the Mexicans won’t have any problem with Koreans cooking food with gas.

Another loss by the deep state morons who didn’t notice 500,000 ChiComms mustered at the Korean border in 1950.

“Nothing will fix it otherwise.”

Think again. How about 15 million Mexicans taking over California?

“NOT GOOD ENOUGH, They should immediately BAN ALL Natural Gas Appliances from Every last city owned or operated property, then extend that to ALL City employee’s, ELIMINATE ALL Natural Gas appliances from your homes or you are FIRED!!!”

If I were the gas company, I’d send a letter of intent stating that every member of the city council will have their gas service terminated, followed by all city owned facilities as long as this ban is in effect.

Well ain’t that freaking special.

In Californistan, the electric grid can’t keep up with normal summertime demand + charging EV’s, now you want to throw in thousands of these induction appliances?

Do these induction appliances work at 100% efficiency during a brown out? How about black outs? You know those things California is known for every summer.....
