Day two of the Atlantic Tropical Storm Season: Potential Tropical Cyclone One, the tropical system which would be Alex is likely to become a tropical depression or tropical storm while it moves slowly northeastward over the northwestern Caribbean Sea and southeastern Gulf of Mexico during the next day or two. The tropical system is somewhat unusual because it originally made landfall along the E Pacific Coast of Mexico as a Category 2 hurricane named Agatha. The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories.

But at least that’s a little bit of heat dissipated by this storm that won’t be available for future storms this year.
I like your optimism! Glad to see you back for another silly season.
Always the right time for chocolate!
This is my weekend to work- the hospital has weathered plenty of rain and storms but it looks as though it will be nothing much in Central Florida.
Maybe it will all stay put!…….
We certainly need the rain!
…..We finally decided to ‘xeriscape’ the garden area……..it looks very nice, everything stays in place, no more fertilizer, less work!
Even if we don’t get the brunt of this till tomorrow, I’m staying put!…..I was going to Merritt Island today, but called it off…….
THANKS for the thread, NN!!!!
Hello Alex. Come see me, I could use the rain.
How much food can you grow in a xeriscape?
Thanks for checking in for the start of the 2022 season. Looking forward to a good soaking rain.
Sorry…..the word ‘garden’ was misleading
It’s not a vegetable garden…..it’s not even a flower garden…..it’s a decorative garden area.
It doesn’t grow anything but rocks!

We’re on TS warning right now. We’ll be on the northern edge. Rain, probably lots of it, and minimal wind for us. Weekend washout.
Good weekend in FL to clean the garage, closets, cabinets, or paint a room. Lots of honey-do projects to pass time over the weekend. Snuggle with a good book. Take long naps.
Comforting to see you back at your post - keeping all of us safe. Thanks Nauti...
Thanks for your kind sentiments, GOPJ. Great to have you back for another crazy storm season.
Ah, but once you designate the area for no-grow, weeds will spontaneously erupt from the rocks, mulch and weed barrier. Happens every time.
I like the last two…..books and naps!
