Russia’s nuclear forces are holding drills northeast of Moscow Wednesday, a day after President Biden announced plans to send advanced missiles to Ukraine.
Some 1,000 Russian soldiers are taking part in intense maneuvers using more than 100 vehicles, including Yars intercontinental missile launchers, Russia’s independent news agency Interfax reported, citing the country’s Ministry of Defense.
The drills are taking place in the Ivanovo Oblast, about 160 miles northeast of Moscow.
The drills, which are aimed at preparing the missile systems for combat, required the troops to march more than 60 miles, camouflage the equipment and post guards, according to Russian news site mkivanovo.ru.
The training exercise also involved Typhoon-M armored counter-sabotage vehicles,
The Typhoon-M is equipped with different types of reconnaissance and surveillance equipment including a TKN-4S night vision sight and Kredo-1 ground surveillance radar. The vehicle is also equipped with an electronic warfare suite able to detect or jam hostile radio communications or electronic attacks, according to the report.

Well, the bedwetter contingent around here takes it seriously every time.
They [the Russians] know that the Biden Worshipers, The George Soros worshipers, the Globalists, along with the Neo Cons are going to get them in a full blown nuclear war with the United States of America. It is just a matter of time. They will not stop until it happens.
Even they don't take it seriously: it's simply rhetorical hyperbole to try to shut down opposing views on the Ukraine war. I guess it's the Paleocon equivalent of "it's for the children."
I think a bigger reason the war may escalate in unpredictable ways is the MQ-9 drone the USA is sending to Ukraine.
This can be remotely piloted and there’s no way to prove it isn’t being piloted from the USA or some NATO base in western Europe.
There would be no plausible deniability to say these USA drones aren’t being piloted from the USA or west europe.
The Russians had many military operations on the Ukraine border, and everyone thought these were all just a bluff, but then...
Imagine the irony of all those Californians moving to Vegas and nixing Yucca Mountain because they didn't want nuclear waste in Nevada, but then getting nuked.
