Representative Adam Kinzinger (R-IL) said Sunday on ABC’s “This Week” that a federal law raising the age to buy guns to 21 was a “no-brainer” following the mass shooting at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, TX.
Kinzinger said, “I think raising the purchase of a gun purchase to 21 is a no-brainer. If you look at the Parkland shooting, Buffalo, this shooting, these are people under the age of 21. We know that the human brain develops and matures a lot between the ages of 18 and 21. We raised without really so much of a blink, the age of purchasing cigarettes federally to 21.”

“We know that the human brain develops and matures a lot between the ages of 18 and 21.”
Better raise the military entrance/draft age too with that logic.
Fine, now do the same for voting and sex change operations
and puberty blocking(?!) drugs.
“I think raising the purchase of a gun purchase to 21 is a no-brainer...We know that the human brain develops and matures a lot between the ages of 18 and 21.”
This clown is really trying to get his name spread in his last months in office. By the way, how did kissing up to the dems work out for you?
Actually, the human brain doesn’t mature until age 25. Based on that, voting and gun purchases should be at that age.
There’s a great military recruiting pitch:
Join at 18. No drinking, No smoking, and No gun!
restore firearms safety classes (and other life-necessary and useful classes) to high schools
restore shooting sports to high schools
retire this political hack
Shut up!
Kinzinger gets his instructions from Jesus! Just ask him.

Certainly he would not mind raising the voting age for 21.
so you can’t steal or use someone else’s guns until you’re 21 ?
So 19 of roughly 74,000,000 school-age children are killed by a liberal creation, a transgender who, if we are going to have red flag laws, should be a qualifying mental illness. And we need legislation? Does Kinsinger have to work at having a skull that soft?
So a person too young to legally purchase a gun will bring a van full of explosives, drive up onto school grounds, and carry out their evil.
But our Congress just had to send $40,000,000,000 to Ukraine, didn’t they? And they know what Israelis do to protect their young.
But no, we can’t have school security, we must seize guns from Americans that think they have rights.
“We raised without really so much of a blink, the age of purchasing cigarettes federally to 21.”
So... there are no smokers under 21?
I had to wait until I turned 21 to vote in 1968, then they changed it to 18 because 18 year olds went off to war, and should have the right to vote. Now if you’re 18, and willing to fight for your country, and the military supplies you a weapon to do that, Democrats, and gutless Republicans don’t want you to be able to own a personal weapon until you are 21. And, as a side note, Democrats have historically gone to every length, in order to disenfranchise the overseas ballots of our military members during every election.
OK, then we raise the voting age to 21 and require a test on the constitution before you get a voters card. Half the residents of this country can’t spell constitution.
‘zinger keeps making noise to get headlines.
Likely he is auditioning for what he thinks might be the VP slot on carpetbagger Cheney’s presidential ticket.
The government knows that 18 year old brains are immature and more malleable. It’s easier to mold them into killers. The only time in my life when I was given a firearm and instructed to kill it was by the government and I was 18. I would agree to raising the age if it would be the end of the raving, but it’s just another incremental step toward confiscation.
Raising the voting age to 21 is a no-brainer, too. I’d agree to 21 for firearms purchase, voting, and drafting. But only as a package deal and if one is repealed or held invalid, all must revert to their current status.
If they’re not responsible enough to buy a firearm, they for darn sure are not responsible enough to vote for the future of the entire country.
