Representative Adam Kinzinger (R-IL) said Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union” that he is now open to some sort of assault weapon ban following the mass shooting at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, TX.
Anchor Dana Bash said, “Congressman, you do still oppose a ban on the kind of assault weapons that were used in this shooting. Can you explain why private citizens need weapons of war?”

Such a patriot.
If I hit you in the head with a brick, have I not just ‘assault’ed you with a ‘weapon’?
He always was open to it, now he can come out of the closet.
He’s auditioning for CNN and MSNBC.
He’s living proof why the democrats want a weapons ban but won’t do anything about so many people walking around with mental issues.
Just rehearsing for his upcoming MSNBC or CNN gig. We know how the cable networks are always looking for ex-RINO politicians to be their token conservative on their talk shows.
To eventually fight the goons of the ‘Rat Party. [See Kenosha] Private citizens need weapons of war to defend themselves from an unconstitutional government(see Biden administration). Private citizens now need them for the same reasons the founding fathers addressed in the 2nd Amendment. The weapons of war then were muskets, cannons and swords, today the AR-15 and other semi-auto rifles are simply the modern equivalent of muskets.
If the real freedom, rights and protections the founding fathers were talking about in the 2nd were allowed us today there would be no limit to the weapons we could posses for the people to defend against an evil government.
Well they want public pressure so why they’re beating the drum as they do after every shooting of this nature. .....I wonder how much O-Rourke was ‘Paid” to make a fool of himself. Pelosi does have her dial up people like AOC to create scenes.
Would someone tell these morons that only the military and some law enforcement agencies have “assault weapons.”
Would someone tell these morons that only the military and some law enforcement agencies have “assault weapons.”
One more thing would need to happen... Red States should be willing to refuse extradition of any citizen caught a foul of a Blue State (or fed) corrupt laws.
We are in an ‘escaped slave’ environment... Blue States will use their laws to criminalize conservatives and drag them before their own stacked jurisdictions.
Cut them off. If NY says to West Virginia, “You have a citizen who violated our law... hand him over”, West Virginia should flatly refuse. Same goes for any fines.
Agree a parade of idiots always on the march.
I can. Because our government does everything it can to prevent us carrying out our primary responsibility. That being, to defend our families.
So is she.
Liberal Democrats like Kinzinger are expected to sign on.
The constitutional intent of the 2nd amendment is as clear as a bell to me, and is the most prohibitory against all government actions to infringe upon it of any in the Bill of Rights.
Since so many of our fellows are college “educated”, particularly in Marxist critical theory educational establishments with a contempt for the constitution, and exhibit a lack of insight into the slightly awkward 18th century phrasing of the 2nd amendment, I would suggest a minor re-ordering of it’s phrases to enable clarification for those so afflicted. (only for purposes of clarification to those who are willfully ignorant or devious)
“The right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed, BECAUSE a well regulated militia is NECESSARY to the SECURITY of a free state.”
This should make clear that the objective phrase of the amendment is the RKBA,s so that the “well regulated” (trained, disciplined and properly equipped) can exist to secure our nation as a FREE state maintained in LIBERTY!!!!
I’m open to banning Adam Kinzinger from the United States.
If they pass such a ban, the free states ought to start manufacturing all the AR-15s we can crank out. Why should we obey anything this illegitimate federal government does?
