Using the controversial CRISPR technology, researchers at Northwestern University were examining a hormone called vasopressin and its receptor, Avpr1a.
They opted to try and remove the latter from a group of Syrian hamsters, with the expectation it would increase bonding and co-operation between the lovable little critters.

The academics found the adorable bundles of fluff turned into mutant rage monsters exhibiting ‘high levels of aggression towards other same-sex individuals’.
All hamsters, regardless of genotype or sex, exhibited aggression (including chasing, biting, and pinning) when exposed to a nonaggressive, same-sex conspecific in a neutral arena.

CRISPR technology offers a lot of hope for people born with serious genetic defects.
I am the parent of a daughter born with Angelman Syndrome, where a piece of a chromosome is missing. The result is a situation far worse than you can imagine.
University of North Carolina research scientists have successfully used CRISPER to repair and/or replace missing genetic elements, at least in mouse models.,p> Next steps, pending FDA approval, will be human trials.
The technique involves gene replication, and then using a virus to go into the brain and replicate the gene.
It's truly astounding and offers great hope for Downs Syndrome, Angelman, Autism.
It’s a shame these people take these discoveries that should only be used for good and turn it into evil.
I hope it turns into something good for you and your daughter.
LOL!!!!
Thank you.
What is that from?
How is it possible to control this kind of research? You can’t.....like gain of function research in the bio-labs.
It does serve a purpose, to them. Opens the possibility of altering peoples behavior and voluntarily like making people complacent and compliant or as in this case turning people aggressive
“Why...do this?”
Solve the energy problem! Image the power generation ability of thousands of dna altered hamsters aggressively running on hamster wheels with generators attached. Combine dna altering with steroids and you have unlimited energy.
I’ll watch it 28 days from now.
Who is Big Mike?
But Rockefeller made that go away, right...?
Former First Lady. 😏

Serenity. That's River Tam.
I’m still lost 🤣
While in their custody, she learned about a planet called Miranda, where the government introduced something into the oxygen supply intended to make the people more docile. It eventually made them so docile they laid down and died. Exccept for a small percentage that became Reavers who were beyond violent.
This article reminded me of that.
I highly recommend you give it a look. Firefly can be found on Amazon Prime, as can Serenity.
Also, you can watch Serenity without watching Firefly if you want, but I recommend Firefly first.
Thanks
