Harrowing video shows Texas cops RESTRAINING parents outside elementary school shooting and telling them 'we're taking care of it': Cops took up to 90 minutes to get inside classroom where gunman had trapped kids 'because they needed a key'

Shocking new video has emerged showing Texas cops restraining parents as they tried to rescue their kids on Tuesday after a gunman unleashed terror inside the elementary school, as questions grow over why it took so long to get to the shooter after the first 911 call.

Salvador Ramos, 18, arrived at the school in Uvalde at 11.30am, crashing his car into a ditch.

A school resource officer was at the scene but he failed to stop him from making his way inside.

Two other cops also rushed to the school at that time - Ramos had just shot his grandmother in the face at their home less than five miles away. She survived and called the police.

When they arrived, Ramos is said to have shot at them then ran into the school, where he barricaded himself in the fourth grade classroom and shot 19 kids and two teachers dead.

It took another 90 minutes from that point for police to declare the shooting over.

Now, sources say police were struggling to get into the classroom and needed a key to open the door.

Eventually, a border patrol agent was able to get inside and the shooting was declared over at 1.06pm.

But it questions remain over why it took police so long to get into the classroom where the kids were trapped with the gunman.

One child told KENS 5 that he was able to hide under a desk, but that a girl who yelled out 'help' when police arrived was executed.

Respectfully, sir, most teachers today are liberals. I am sympathetic with the idea but I do wonder if we should really trust their good judgment.

I still affirm most police officers will do the best they can………

Agreed. Although there appears to be no particular effort to weed out the unsuitable ones.

but there seems to not have been good protocol for saving those children as urgently as possible.

It seems quite the opposite. How would it have been different if every effort was made to make sure there were multiple, multiple dead children to grandstand on?

Only some of the blame belongs to the front line cops.

Who ordered the stand down? Who ordered them to order the stand down? Wanna place a bet that stops at 1600, or when too many people on the chain unexpectedly commit suicide?

Without good evidence, one would have to be a credulous moron to jump to conclusions of any sort.

You don’t need to go up the line to 1600.
Just go up far enough to hit the first department lawyer or boss bureaucrat who wants an inherently risky job to take no risks!

There were other classrooms the shooter did not get in to - almost all those children survived.

The perp was shot dead in the end.

Yeah, let’s not defund the police quite yet, especially in light of the SWAT team member who has five staples in his head now. They may have arrived “late”, but you can’t call those three Texans cowards.

Say you have 10 apples. 6 of those apples are bad. The other 4 apples are “good” but do nothing about the 6 bad apples.

How many bad apples to you have?

10. You have 10 bad apples.

Lanza shot his mother, so maybe they’ve found the secret.

That sounds lawful, just and good!!! Yes, make instant widows and orphans related to anyone who gets in your way, just in the vain hopes you MIGHT get there only to find all the hostages slaughtered in the first five minutes.

I would say your guess is as good as mine, but mine is based on this:

https://govsalaries.com/salaries/TX/city-of-uvalde

I don’t know about the remaining citizens, but I would venture to guess that a fewer percentage of them would be armed (compared to more prosperous cities) based on the cost of firearms and ammunition, today.

(But then again, maybe the fact that it seems more rural could lead to the opposite: guesses are just that and I would rather have evidence even if it is limited or indirect.)

If it stops at the first department lawyer or boss bureaucrat who wants an inherently risky job to take no risks so be it. We will know who to hold accountable.

I rather doubt it will stop so far down the food chain.

They will want someone above to cover their butts before they'd dare issue such an order.

According to Dr. Clarissa Cole, fully half the people she FAILED on their pre-employment psych evals were hired as cops and prison guards.

She said “No, no, no, he has really strong sadistic tendencies and fantasies of rape and murder, you really shouldn’t hire him” and they would.

That's what lawyers do!
They write the policy and procedure, its then followed religiously. That way no one has to think, make a decision be right or be wrong. If something goes wrong the policy gets blamed not the person. Responsibility is spread so thin it's no longer traceable. I've seen it time and time again!

The goal in government (and large corporations!) be it local, state or federal government is have a legal department created\approved policy that makes everything run on autopilot. No decisions by management are then necessary and no one is to blame if something goes wrong. Remember failure is an orphan, success has many fathers!
