Harrowing video shows Texas cops RESTRAINING parents outside elementary school shooting and telling them 'we're taking care of it': Cops took up to 90 minutes to get inside classroom where gunman had trapped kids 'because they needed a key'

Shocking new video has emerged showing Texas cops restraining parents as they tried to rescue their kids on Tuesday after a gunman unleashed terror inside the elementary school, as questions grow over why it took so long to get to the shooter after the first 911 call.

Salvador Ramos, 18, arrived at the school in Uvalde at 11.30am, crashing his car into a ditch.

A school resource officer was at the scene but he failed to stop him from making his way inside.

Two other cops also rushed to the school at that time - Ramos had just shot his grandmother in the face at their home less than five miles away. She survived and called the police.

When they arrived, Ramos is said to have shot at them then ran into the school, where he barricaded himself in the fourth grade classroom and shot 19 kids and two teachers dead.

It took another 90 minutes from that point for police to declare the shooting over.

Now, sources say police were struggling to get into the classroom and needed a key to open the door.

Eventually, a border patrol agent was able to get inside and the shooting was declared over at 1.06pm.

But it questions remain over why it took police so long to get into the classroom where the kids were trapped with the gunman.

One child told KENS 5 that he was able to hide under a desk, but that a girl who yelled out 'help' when police arrived was executed.

Who has master keys at a public school?

Janitors, support staff, assistant principals, the principal, usually one head teacher on each hall, and substitutes.

The police made that up.

Wall. Blindfold. Cigarette. 7 bullets and one blank. Some assembly required.

>I have been wondering that ever since I read it. Did he get it for his birthday? Just where did it come from?

Dunno, but those AR-15s aren’t cheap $400 Palmetto ARs. They’re very expensive, as is the reticle.

That timeline is BS, it doesn’t show when the cops received the initial call or the arrival time when the cops arrived on scene.

At least one cop had his taser out, in his hand, while keeping the parents back. If the parents had started to rush the police line, it would not be a reach at all to assume it would be deployed. My point being, what do you think would happen if this did NOT stop the parents?

If I heard about that at my daughter’s school, I’d show up there with an AR-15 and a shotgun, if I hadn’t lost both in a tragic canoeing accident.

Can we put to bed the Texas tough justice bull crap now? If that was the case, Beto would not have been “escorted” out but carried out in pieces.

Unfortunately, it’s politicians of all stripes who have jumped at the opportunity to politicize this horrific crime. I saw Ted Cruz come on TV blasting Beto about his political stunt and then went on to politicize the tragedy himself and talking up his bills he’s been introducing. Same bullshit, different party. They all suck. Pompeo came on the tube about a totally unrelated topic and he started out with sending his thoughts and prayers to the people of Uvalde. Just shut up, this is not a bandwagon. Nobody asked you.

And now to find out the “authorities” put in charge of protecting citizens, stood around waiting for a freakin’ key?! Dear Lord, I hope that’s not the case. Oh, wait, and now there was a school resource officer there all along as well?...

*****So far all I’ve heard is there is no proof that Ramos was an illegal alien.****

A list of the young children murdered shows they all had Hispanic surnames. Makes you wonder if all the coverage on illegal immigrants drove him insane.

ANOTHER REASON TO HOMESCHOOL

This ping list is for the other articles of interest to homeschoolers about education and public school. This can occasionally be a fairly high volume list. Articles pinged to the Another Reason to Homeschool List will be given the keyword of ARTH. (If I remember. If I forget, please feel free to add it yourself)

The main Homeschool Ping List handles the homeschool-specific articles. I hold both the Homeschool Ping List and the Another Reason to Homeschool Ping list. Please freepmail me to let me know if you would like to be added to or removed from either list, or both.

"They let the kids die in Colorado as with Texas."

Don't forget the Parkland school shooting in 2018. The Broward County Sheriff who fled the scene was suspended, then got his job back.

They should have just strolled in like the tranny did.

Looks like a total failure by local law enforcement.

Which appears to be SOP.

Well, if the left succeeds in defunding the police, then there won’t be any to stop an active shooter.

Some people here make it sound, as if police are in favor of people getting massacred in a mass shooter situation. They make it sound as if police are not trained or not allowed to take action. I just can’t understand such thinking.

I think you are missing the point of the actual discussion. It appears that in many, if not nearly all recent major school shooting situations, the police response is insufficiently aggressive towards the shooter. If you followed what happened in the aftermath of the mass shooting in Parkland Florida you would know that the first police officers on the scene retreated and waited for backup instead of directly engaging the shooter. That's not speculation, or just "thinking" that's what a long process of investigation, litigation, and study determined.

It appears that a similar pattern of behavior happened in this most recent mass school shooting as well. The first police on the scene exchanged gunfire with the shooter but did not continue their attack on him. Instead they waited for reinforcements.

The discussion isn't necessarily about what the police are in favor of, or whether or not they were trained, but why the net effect is that they retreat and wait instead of attacking the shooter.

There may be speculation about why the police in both cases and Columbine previously chose the path of action that they did, but what is really hard to understand is why armed police would not continue their attack on the shooter.

Personally I can't imagine standing around in body armor with a firearm (or two) and a few other similarly armed people in the parking lot listening to some lunatic shooting children inside a school. I'd charge right in regardless of the risk and do whatever I could to stop the killing. Every police officer I know personally would feel the same way I do.

I think most people feel the same way and that is why there is discussion about this situation since it appears that the actual result of the law enforcement training, management, etc. is inaction, not immediate action.

Hubby heard that they (some of them) may have gone in to retrieve their own kids, while preventing other parents from entering.

We’re praying this is just a rumor....and, not true.

Just horrible, if so.

"Haven’t the police been vilified enough!"

Some folks are willing to second-guess the cops whenever these things happen. The media hates police, and will do anything to demean them in the eyes of the people. The fact that the press is trying to vilify the cops, and aren't really reporting any significant info about the shooter should wake people up...but it won't. I haven't even read any news article that describes the killer as hispanic. When George Zimmerman killed Trayvon Martin, he was labeled a "white hispanic" by the media.

He also said that he was quitting because he had enough money. He had been planning this for a while it seems like. He didn’t just go off. He’s was already off the rails.

Then let’s talk about police training and tactics.

We do know for sure, that any individual policeman there, who defies orders and charges in somewhere, is going to be disciplined for defying orders.

Maybe the problem is with the official procedures for handling these situations. I don’t know enough about procedures to comment on that aspect of things. But I do know, that any individual policeman in the squad on the scene, who decides to do a Rambo attack, against orders, is going to get disciplined or fired.

So he was alone with the 4th grade class in the classroom for an hour. Did he call everyone in the classroom during that period or did some survive? If he did, there is a special place in hell for him?
