Department of Public Safety Director Steve McCraw said 40 minutes to an hour elapsed from when Ramos opened fire on the school security officer and when the SWAT-like Border Patrol team shot him. But a department spokesman said later in the day that they could not give a solid estimate of how long the gunman was in the school or when he was killed.

Say what you will about Putin, but there are some excellent Russian TV shows on YouTube. “Second Sight” is another good one.
If the Russians were in this situation, they won't hesitate to go in and take the shooter out even if some innocents were hurt and/or killed in the crosshairs.
Obviously the facts aren’t yet clear so why get your pants in a knot?
40 minutes before anyone entered the building - problem number one.
Unlocked back school door - problem number two
screwed up kid with a drug addicted mother who had a live in boyfriend and his grandfather is a felon so he had no normal home life - problem number 3
School personnel knew he was cutting his face up, not showing up, and nothing was done - problem number 4.
Again lots of mixed reports and common in criminal cases - even by the Mayor there and others. So it should be people wait until the investigation is completed - but they never do.
We’re all playing guesswork and there’s far too many conflicting reports to know yet how this went down.
Bottom line is the shooter is dead. He murdered a classroom full of students and teachers - others injured - shot his grandmother. ...and left a community in mourning.
There’s alot of unbalanced people out there and they will shoot up malls, schools and anywhere people gather. We’ve seen it in this case and others past.
So typical in reporting - first it was a car, then his truck, then his grandmothers truck.
No, they don’t HAVE to.

According to news reports now the guy that went in and shot the shooter was an off duty border patrol agent and was wearing a baseball cap not a kevlar helment.
We have seen this movie before and more people die.

As i see it a screwed up family - and a teenage member who decides to knowingly take out his frustrations and anger of his own life by shooting and injuring people .....who the police shot and now he’s dead.
And we’re doing the same thing over and over again when these incidents happen - and obvious there’s no way anything is going to control the minds of people who decide they’re going to do such things.
It’s time parents - once again - gather and determine how THEY’RE going to handle these situations because it will likely happen again.

Yes and it will repeat in the future. And officers will be damned if they do and damned if they don’t no matter how it’s handled.
In a school? VERY QUICKLY!
Well you’re going to have to figure that out on your own.
Police called it a stolen truck and few places I read it was his grandmothers truck.
Armed Cops with body armor and who knows what else stand outside and eat donuts while a killer runs wild.
They are not there to protect you or your children.
So can my deer rifle.....
