Obviously there were signs. The friend asked him why he had the guns and lots of ammo who he told “don’t worry about it,” the social media posts.

Who knew about the bullying at school? Did the school attempt to investigate why he was excessively absent? Who gifted him the guns? Why did he kill the grandmother? Why the choice of an elementary school?

Did he have contacts with social services or law enforcement?

Is the media going to exam its role in making these attackers into celebrities?

A huge red flag that schools may initially investigate but they drop the ball on follow-up because dealing with the family is too hard or they are a protected class or they are poor. I've seen this first hand where this is the case so the High School just socially promoted this super senior to wash their hands of him and let the local neighborhood, police and courts deal with the mess.
