Just give it up - social media isn’t and this is all controlled propaganda now.

Time to start new social media apps that won’t kowtow to elitist rule.

Some minimum wage liberal arts major, affirmative action hire of questionable gender who can’t hold a barista job at Starbucks is going to police my speech? I don’t think so.

Twitter will now label and suppress THE TRUTH surrounding armed conflict and other crises.

Edited for accuracy.

The narrative must be preserved and controlled.

Anything that dissents from that is conspiracy, misinformation, disinformation. Get with the program.

How about a parallel act giving the death penalty to every person who actively participates in such labeling or suppression, if said “misinformation” later turns out to be true. E.g. Hunter’s laptop, voter fraud, etc. Deal?

I take it Musks buyout of twitter is all but over, if it was ever real to begin with. So much for the concept of freedom of speech.

If there are two countries in a future war, as long as Twitter says they could both be lying, I have no problems with the labels

Of course, that doesn’t apply to the Russia/Ukraine War going on now. We know everything Ukraine says is true and most if not all Russia says is false.

Why don’t they just label everything as suspect and leave well-enough alone?

Does this mean an end to Ukrainian propaganda that they’re winning a war?

Yes. Why have the government do what private enterprise can do better and cheaper? Why set up a Ministry of Truth when companies are happy to do the same things at no taxpayer expense?

Twitter will now apply warning labels to — and cease recommending — claims that outside experts have identified as misinformation during fast-moving times of crisis...

Twitter, the rest of Big Tech, and the corporate MSM pulled this crap during 2020 to suppress the Hunter Biden laptop story. The result is Biden, runaway inflation, crashing markets, highest ever prices for food and fuel, baby milk shortages, and a land war in Eastern Europe.

false reports of events unfolding on the ground in the midst of a conflict; and false claims about the use of weapons.

How often is “officially reported” information that is either intentionally false or wrong due to the fog of war turn out to be wrong. Now Twitter is going to try to determine what is correct or incorrect and have to trust official sources?

Basically they are readily acknowledging taking sides and spreading that propaganda.
