I have a colleague who is a Principle Engineer and he is 87. He started his career in the mid 1950s.
The man is incredibly sharp and a treasure trove of information. I will never buy into crap that libs push for kicking old folks off the cliff into the grave.
He is more productive than 99% of 20 somethings these days.
English brings a tear or is that tearing of logic?Your colleague may be principled but as a position it is a principle to use the proper word of principal. When there are too many ways to spell a word pronounced the same, then there is a mongrel language to blame!
“He is more productive than 99% of 20 somethings these days.”
Having seen some 20-somethings, I can certainly believe it.
I know a construction manager that was all set to retire but was asked by his company to finish up a big project. He had already done this twice before (wanting to retire, but...).
He said “Yeah, the project manager is 82 years old. The best in the business - but I figured he needs to enjoy some retirement time more than I do!” (My friend is 69 - and many say HE is the best in the business.)
I have a family member still working at his company at 73 - even though they have required retirement they rehired him as a contractor and his work never skipped a beat.....he has no plans to retire.
