The proper terminology is “property tax-gouging.”
Our friends over in Jeff Davis Parish, Louisiana had their’s almost double last December. He couldn’t believe it. He call the tax assessor’s office to see if maybe there was some kind of mistake. Nope. They had gone and re-assessed everyone’s property...thus the increase.
And if you wanna find out who REALLY owns your property, rest assured, you’ll quickly find out if you don’t pay em.
Somewhere, somehow...this has got to come to an end.
It’s unsustainable the way it is.
The middle-class working man, just trying to raise his family and live in peace is being taxed out of existence by these greedy govt. bassturds.
I sold my home in Illinois just a few weeks ago.
Not a huge place at all, 1700 sq ft
2750.00 a year tax
I’m on my farm now in Missouri and this house is over 5000sq ft, has a huge barn, 40 acres, large greenhouse..etc
1032.00 a year tax
My farm is in the process of being sold and I am going to move into a small 2 bedroom house in a nearby MO town. 1100 sq ft in a nice area.
270.00 a year tax
Missouri has relatively low property tax.. especially on farms it seems.
One doesn’t own real estate, one only leases it from the government.
Beautiful economy democrats, thank you so much.
Now when the vast majority can’t afford a home and get government assistance, who’s going to pay these astronomical taxes?
It is this nonsense that resulted in Prop 13
Most assessments are already well below market value.
