National Guard members on state duty can now unionize, thanks to a new Justice Department agreement. A 1978 law forbids military personnel on federal duty from unionizing, but labor unions in Connecticut filed a lawsuit against the DOJ and Attorney General Merrick Garland seeking the right to collective bargaining for National Guard members on duty ordered by the governor. DOJ settled the case on Tuesday. (Federal News Network)

“What if they gave a war, and nobody came?”
Yeah, they’re all on strike. The picket line is at 5th and Main.
This is insanely stupid and Garland should be forced to resign immediately for this dereliction of the office.
It also opens the door wide open for communist infiltration of our troops. What are they going to do - go on strike when ordered into a war for capitalist aggression?!
So much for the National Guard. No longer useful.
Are we going to get these azzes out of office soon enough?????
The National Guard called up by governors are state militias and subject to their respective state laws. The DOJ and the Attorney General have no authority to make regulations regarding them. As the commanders in chief of their respective state militias the governors should tell the federal government to go pound sand.
The desperate Democratic politically correct “right to collective bargaining” is not a constitutionally enumerated right.
Insanity.
“Garland should be forced to resign”
Really he should be charged with a crime. He’s engaged in a conspiracy to intentionally undermine the security of the nation on behalf of his political allies.
Yep. If you live in a disaster-prone area, good luck the next time a hurricane or major flooding strikes. Don’t count on the National Guard to actually show up to help.
“OK, the next vote is: “Shall we charge that machine gun nest?”
Who votes “no”?
True. There’s a right to free association. So you are free to join any union you want to join. But your employer has no obligation to negotiate with your union.
“We’re being invaded! Call up the National Guard!”
“Sorry sir, they’re picketing the base right now demanding paid maternity leave for transexuals.”
What the actual ****.
“What if they gave a war, and nobody came?”
Yeah, they’re all on strike. The picket line is at 5th and Main.
I’d like to understand how an order from a superior officer, squares against a union collective bargaining charter.
Period!
No longer trustworthy.

My thoughts mirror yours. Desantis caught alot of crap. Doesn’t look so bad now.
Sue and Settle.
It’s the American commie way.
Now stand by for state lawsuits and the USSC agreeing with the states that sue.
