Soaring Gas Prices Reach New Record High For 12th Day Straight

Gas prices went up again on Wednesday, setting a new record for the 12th straight day even after resident Joe Biden’s unprecedented release from the nation’s emergency petroleum reserves began on Sunday.

According to AAA’s gas tracker, the nationwide average for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline is $4.56, surpassing the prior day’s high when prices passed $4.50. Diesel fuel, used for tankers, trains, trucks, farming machinery, and other industrial equipment, also reached a new high at $5.577 per gallon on Wednesday. The daily consecutive records come weeks ahead of Memorial Day, when prices traditionally reach their spring peak.

In April, Biden sought to artificially suppress soaring gas prices by announcing the release of 1 million barrels of oil per day from the emergency stockpile for six months ahead of the November midterms. The release, however, which went into effect this week, has coincided with record-level prices each day so far, even as the president hopes to save precious political capital ahead of an election cycle that is historically hostile to the party in the White House.

The rising prices at the pump will quickly translate into even higher prices across the economy, exacerbating the painful consequences of inflation by raising the cost of manufacturing and transportation. According to the Department of Labor, inflation remains at its highest year-over-year rise in four decades, climbing 8.3 percent in April compared to the same time last year. Energy prices are up 30 percent from last year.

Despite the economic turbulence brought by high power prices, Biden has continued to suppress domestic oil and gas production when the nation needs it most. Last week, CBS News revealed that the administration quietly canceled projects across the country from Alaska to the Gulf of Mexico.

Meanwhile, the administration’s resumption of oil and gas leases on federal lands is only the product of a court ruling that terminated Biden’s indefinite suspension. In response, the White House is allowing only 20 percent of what was initially nominated to be developed for drilling operations, complemented by a 50 percent increase in royalties on what’s extracted.

For reasons I don’t understand, Biden continues to do everything he can to keep fuel prices high. The EO two hours after taking office to kill the XL Pipeline, tighten federal oils leases was the first step. He has done nothing to speed the permitting process on those leases that do get approved. He made a big gesture of adding new acreage to the oil leases available, but neglected to mention there’s no oil under them. On April 26th he took another million acres off the leasing table while complaining about high gas prices. He has further restricted offshore leases as well. This is consistent with Obama’s goal of feeding OPEC via higher crude prices. It’s time for the American people to get pissed off enough to hold Biden’s feet to the fire and force him to explain why he’s doing this to hurt the American people.

I was upset a week ago, when I bought gas and it was $4.40 a gallon. Looks like it’s continuing to increase.

Thanks, Burden!

This is what happens in wars, but no one has made clear to the American people that DC has got us into another war.

The compounding impact of the rise in prices on goods and services will break the back of our economy and the unprecedented quality of life we’ve had since the 80’s, as well as most other western economies. China’s population already lives at 3rd world levels, so they don’t have far to fall.

Impeachment, conviction, and, thereafter, criminal proceedings are the appropriate rewards for Biden’s deeds. His actions in the presidency have not been simply incompetent. They are more than that. They are intended to harm the nation as a whole and hurt millions of individuals.

That is always the result given by the application of hard leftist policies.

Impeach 46, then carry through with the rest as a warning and deterrent to others of like mind and ambition. It is the only constitutional defense, and thus lawful and orderly defense, the people of the United States have.

For reasons I don’t understand, Biden continues to do everything he can to keep fuel prices high.

The globalists expect Americans to foot the bill for worldwide fuel costs to cover countries that can't afford it. Sri Lanka actually ran out of fuel yesterday and citizens there are burning politicians' homes.

I spent more than $40 on gas for the car yesterday. While some may say "where have you been" and correctly point out they've been spending more than that for quite some time, I usually fill it back up when it's just below half a tank. I haven't spent $40 on gas since years ago when I had a car with a V-8 engine.

The strategy is to induce a motivation for people to abandon ICE vehicles.. If gas prices go high enough, and supplies become scarce due to regulatory strangulation, the options of using alternative transportation will become increasingly attractive. Driven by the fraudulent rationale of “fighting climate change,” this is an attempt to force compliance and control upon the populace.

This goes hand in hand with a sustained propaganda campaign of how “global heating” is a crisis, and avoiding “climate collapse” is the existential challenge of the world today. And enough of the people might buy this load of rubbish to enable the scheme to succeed.
