Lived in the desert for quite a bit of time. Scorching, but ya get used to it. Had to be careful of shaded areas for critters. Puff Adders were common in that part of the world. Had a pair of cats with me, there was always plenty of water in their dish, and they never seemed to be bothered by the heat. I even saw them hunting, which was amazing. They hunted as a pair. Very successfully, too.
Nothing to do but grin and bear it.
KEEP GRINNIN’
Trying to grin, but 103 in May is a bit depressing. I don’t handle heat as well now as I did when I was way younger. I guess as a Texan, I should toughen up for sure. :) But I never get used to it.
